There is a list of adventures set in Absalom I found previously, I think there are more than enough adventures to keep us on the Island for the lower levels and that seems to make the most sense.

We probably should sign up as official Pathfinders I think, thoughts?

I can't think of to much off the top of my head. Probably one of my favorites we can't to at least L3. For doing something I haven't done, that would be spoilers.

Maybe Glass River Rescue (5:1) and The Stolen Heir (5:4) are good for low level characters.

Unless someone in our party hasn't done them. I'm okay to wait until they've played 'em.

Better not to do adventures any of us have done if we can help it I would say.

Has any one played The Empire Spire Super Dungeon? That might be quite well suited to the group and could potentially - I have not looked at it so not sure - be moved to the Isle of Kortos, which Absalom is on. That would take us from our current level to 13th. If the surroundings are important we could go there for the promise of such a huge dungeon, makes more sense than travelling for a minor quest.

I haven't done anything before, I'm a total noob as far as Pathfinder is concerned. I did find three more free Pathfinder scenarios set in Absalom: 1, 2, and 3. Although they are all designed for 1st level characters, and I would much prefer to level up a little bit.

I'm pretty much up for anything really, although it seems to make sense to stay in and around Absalom.

My preference to, plus its a lot more bang for your buck, about twice as expensive, but covers more than ten times the span.

Discuss joining the pathfinder or just stay as freelance adventurers.
I have different ideas on where to take you, it just depended on if you wanted to stay on this island or go elsewhere.

That is the one. Basically I don't think it makes much sense for us to leave Absalom on a single small adventure, but it would for a substantial endeavour such as taking on The Emerald Spire. I have not read it, but the reviews seem strong, and my impression is it is a good dungeon crawl style adventure which I feel is suited to the group.

Whether we become Pathfinders I think depends upon what adventures you choose, if we are going to be doing a number of PFS adventures it makes sense, if we go Emerald Spire, or some other none Pathfinder associated route, then it does not seem appropriate.

I'd also be more comfortable if we were to start doing scenarios to actually get the player credit for them.

That's fine for me. I got over 50 characters for PFS play. Sad part, I use hero lab and the computer I had them on died. So some on this site might have had a name and stats...don't remember what race/class they were *LOL*

Head back and tell Balenar about late Derris Jerval. To which he's saddened but not surprised. He does offer you an official position with the pathfinders, accept or not, whichever you wish.

If you decline to join, he'll give you 100gp for helping him out this time and offers to stay in touch if you or he ever needs help again.

The Emerald Spire actually takes place in small corner of the River Kingdoms. I'm skimming it at the moment to see if we need to keep it there or just move it to the island we're on. I think it'd make more since to keep it over there. BUT i have no problem with working it out to add here.

Sounds like fun June! The River Kingdoms really aren't that far from Absalom, we can travel by boat and be there in no time :) Don't worry about it too much. Dresden has a taste for adventure now and is looking for a big score, I think he would be willing to travel a little bit.

No that was 50gp and a masterwork greataxe, which is 160gp + 50gp + 100gp so 62gp each - it was a very short scenario so not too bad. We also have all of the kobolds gear to sell which should bring in a bit more, could you list that please GM?

How much XP did we get from the previous adventure? Did we get a figure?

62gp should be enough to stock up on arrows, I might even splash out and get some o' those fancy blunt arrows :)

We had 1151xp before starting this lil' scenario, so we are at 1651xp now.

If you have a dog, you could just leave your dishes on the floor when you go to work, and they'll be sparkling clean by the time you get back... that's what I do :)

Variel doesn't really find interest in any of these items. Hoping the next excursion pays more.

On a side note...Are we waiting for a level of the dungeon before a level up, or can we level up during if we take a full night's sleep?

The other thing I have to confess... I only had 137 gold, and we were all supposed to chip in 150 gold for the Wand of CLW. So I will take 13 less to whoever wanted help me out out last time.

Fair enough. we'll just say the Dresden loaned Variel the 13gp and that they are all square now (either way that 13gp goes to the merchant).

Since I chose quite poorly with my initial Alchemist Extract list, I thought I'd try learn a few more if that's OK with you GM June. Dresden finds a local wizard and asks to copy a few things down 5gp for each spell, and an extra 10gp if successful at copying (DC 16) [CRB p219]:

Spellcraft for True Strike: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Spellcraft for Cure Light Wounds: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Spellcraft for Shield: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Spellcraft for Ant Haul: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

Woop, 3 out of 4 aint bad :), that's 4 hours of work, 50gp, and he can't attempt to learn True Strike again for a week.

Generally speaking Dresden you take 10 when copying spells/extracts, certainly my recommendation.

Yes, you can usually take 10 and add your bonuses to succeed. Though sometimes under stress, like during a battle you would not be allowed.
