After a little experimentation bear finds he can't even cast anything beyond 1st level.

Bear will follow bringing out his wand of Bulls STR as he does. When the creature is slowed he will use a charge on himself.

How much time has passed so far since we started in the house? Just wondering if I need to recast Barkskin.

"Bear or Unalaq, would you be so kind to go first to help us down, or shall we produce a rope. Heh we could tie it to the rope over there. Or we all jump down and I heal us once we are down and have no exit." He starts off diplomatic and the last sentence is rather sarcastic. He smiles and still seems rather charismatic.
