All information in the campaign info tab. Looking for four players to play with. Will be my breaking out foray into trying to DM a game here on the forums. My last try was dashed by a flood.
Either way let the hounds loose. Will probably have recruitment open until October 23rd.
Cheers. I'll try to answer any question daily until then.

I'm going to roll up an Orc cleric of Asmodeus if that's alright. I figure a major god should have worshipers everywhere. I'm currently working on a profile. Not sure if the foible thing means before or after mods. I'm assuming it's before, so I guess that means int will have to be abyssmally low. Crunch will come a bit later. So let's see
Str-: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8-->12 w/ Mods
Dex-: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Con-: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Int-8--> 6 w/ Mod
Wis-18 -->16 w/ Mod
Cha-: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17-->15 w/ Mods
Alright, guess he's going to have a channeling focus then.
PROFILE OF BUROK, PRIEST OF THE MIGHTY ASMODEUS
BUROK BORN IN ORC TRIBE OUTSIDE STUPID HUMAN SETTLEMENT. BUROK NOT GREAT FIGHTER, SO BUROK DECIDE TO LEARN FROM SHAMAN TO SMASH STUFF WIT NO WEAPONS AND STUFF. BUROK TAUGHT BY SHAMAN ABOUT GREAT ORC GODS. BUROK SAY ASMODEUS IS BEST GOD, WANT TO LEAD TRIBE IN WAYS OF GREAT POWERFUL GOD. PUNY WEAK HUMANS WORSHIP GOD, FOR THAT SOME ORC SAY HE NOT REAL ORC GOD, BUT BUROK SEES PAST THAT. GOD SHOULD BE RESPECTED FOR HIS POWER. HIS NAME BRING FEAR TO WEAK AND SPINELESS HUMANS
BUROK COME TO CITY TO SPREAD DESTRUCTION ON THOSE WHO DISHONOR THE GREAT AND MIGHTY ASMODEUS. HE TRY BRING ORCS, BUT THEY EITHER SCARED OR LAUGH AT BUROK. BUROKE USE HIS POWERS TO SLAY COWARDS AND FOOLS AND GO TO CITY BY SELF. BRING CREATURES TO HERE WORLD, MESS THINGS UP. PUNY HUMAN KNIGHT INTERRUPT BUROK IN MIDDLE OF RITUAL. HAD TO DIG MANY GRAVES TO GET BONE PEOPLE, BUT HE RUIN IT. THINK BUROK HALF-BREED. BUROK LOOK TOO MUCH LIKE HALF-BREED SAY OTHER ORCS. GOOD THEY DEAD NOW. LOCK BUROK UP WITH OTHER HALF-BREEDS. SAY THEY CUT BUROK’S HEAD OFF. BUROK DEMANDS VENGANCE. HE SENDS PRAISE TO GREAT DEITY TO GRANT HIM THAT.
APPEARANCE: BUROK SKINNY FOR ORC, BUT GOTS SKIN THAT GREENISH LIKE ONE. GOT SMALL TUSKS. BUROK LOOK LIKE HALF BREED, CEPT BUROK GOT LOTS OF METAL BITS AND HOLY DRAWINS ON SKIN. Hi, I was in a WotW campaign that didn't get far before the DM disappeared. Would love to get in on this campaign. What are your thoughts on a cleric archetype published by the same company that published the Way of the Wicked? The info on this archetype can be found at the link below
Either way, I am thinking of playing a cleric of Asmodeus. Rolls below.
Strength: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Dex: 8 Foible
Constitution: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Intelligence: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Wisdom: 18 Fable
Charisma: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Eryan Duskwalker |

Eryan's parents were traitors. Not that they had turned to serve another god, but had simply got caught up in the day to day backstabbing that was normal for their race. They fled for their lives south to the lands of the humans and elves. There they hid. In the wilderness they survived, barely staying in one place before moving on to avoid those sent to hunt them down. Amongst it all they raised Eryan, taught him to fear nothing and hate all.
His Father was raiding a town's storehouse one night and didn't return. Captured and sent off who knows where, Eryan never found out if he was alive rotting in a cell or dead. His mother grew increasingly unstable at the loss, not for any reasons of attachment. They had taken him when he had commited no crime in her books. How dare they do such a thing to her husband. Her anger led her to foolishly try to attack the commander that had captured him. She was likewise captured and beheaded. Eryan was alone and stayed away from all civilisation. For many years he barely ever saw another intelligent soul, except for the occasional ranger, which he did well to stay away from.
It all changed one day when some lost travellers stumbled into his cave to shelter from the storm that night. They were too tired to notice that the cave was already inhabited and from sheer exhaustion they fell asleep, together for warmth. He crept up on them and he began hearing a voice inside his head. Kill them. Take your bloody revenge for your parents whom their kind have killed. Rend their boodies and set fire to their blood. Call me and I will answer you. The power that the voice seemed to convey spurned Eryan to action. Before the old man could utter a cry his neck was snapped like a twig in Eryan's hands. BLOOD. GIVE ME BLOOD! Eryan drew out his dagger and slit the throat of the next man. Younger. His eyes popped open in surprise and a gurgle escaped from his sliced windpipe. Three remained still asleep and he turned upon them all without mercy. Blood soaked the stone under his feet and the voice sighed with pleasure. Good. Arrange them so and cover your face with the blood. When he had done as commanded the stone shook, the blood boiled and an apparition formed from the smoke in the form of a devil's face. "Eryan, you have fulfilled the first part of the prophecy. You will be an instrument of revenge upon this world. Our master Asmodeus will be great once more. You have been chosen. Will you answer?" Eryan wondered just what prophecy he was a part of. At the same time disbelieving that one such as him could fulfil a prophecy. But in the background of his mind he realised how good it felt to take revenge for his parents. He wanted more. "I will answer." The demon took possession of him at that moment and Eryan convulsed on the blood covered stone, surrendering himself.
The next morning he followed where the voice in the wind directed. He was to repay on his parents captors the fate they handed out so often. Sir Balin did not take long to find but the man was well protected. Too well protected. The dark prophecy failed Eryan. Sir Balin was waiting and ready. As Eryan raised his dagger in a last desparate attack, he screamed in Infernal, "For the first!" Then his world went black from a blow to the head. For this attempted murder, Eryan was sent to Branderscar to be beheaded. The prophecy was wrong. Ended. Or was it?

I'm thinking of a witch as well, a Gravewalker. Would you be willing to work with me on what the crime of Necromancy would be? Is it possible to start out mature? I was thinking of playing an older woman, Goodie Thornmaple.
Focus: Int: 18
Foible: Strength: 8
Dex: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Con: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Wis: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Cha: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

@BigOM: Having knowledge isn't a problem as long as you don't let it influence your characters decisions.
@TLO3: Could have the possibility of founding your own order here in Talingarde. With the proper guidance and such.
@Ixos: Thinking that the act of necromancy would be under the same as "Grave Robbery". Unless you had an idea on something different. I have no problem with you starting out mature.
@dathom: Completely fine with the 3rd party source.

Oceanshieldwolf |

One thing though thats pretty glaring is the fact that as a gravewalker, you loose your hex ability at level one. Meaning that you cannot take the hex feats at level one.
Yep, that's why I avoided the Gravewalker. Interestingly, none of the abilities you do get say at what level you get them, just the hexes they replace. I'm assuming they come in at those levels, but then assuming is dangerous.
@DM Yodler - Sorry, it wasn't clear on allowing 3PP classes perhaps you could make that a little clearer "any except Paladin and Summoner" doesn't scream "Malefactors, Hellions and Direlocks ok!"; and "any printed" for Race does that mean any 3PP as well?
Apart from that I really like your guidelines on running your PC and not the NPCs or somebody else's PC. Good stuff!!! I'm withdrawing for now. Have fun and be Wicked folks!!!

Don't see why not, i don't mind it, just run it by me first and I'll make my decision. I'm usually pretty open on things unless its really out there.

DM Yodler |

I'm not really sure what to do. On the one hand, hexes are the most fun part of being a witch. On the other hand, I really like her story. I'm going to need to think.
Gravewalkers are fun to begin with from one i've played. Just walking into a graveyard then out with a small army of dead relatives.
Either way take your time!

DM Yodler |

Yodler, what do you think of Kasim?
Hrm. Contemplating. Gunslingers are always cool. Only issue is with the time that I have currently.
Unfortunately I think I may have to add Gunslinger to the list of no-no classes, since I would have to rework a lot of the adventure. Sorry about that. Completely forgot about them.

Really? I will see what I can make in place of a gunslinger that works. Here's hoping.

Zephys |

He sighed and turned back to his bookshelf looking for something he hadn't read recently, So... bored. Father needs to find me more material soon, both books and... He glanced over to the dirty cot with it's chains in the corner. Yes, I need a new... diversion.
The basement room was small and not very well lit. In truth, Zephys didn't need the low burning candle sputtering at his reading table. Still, light was a welcome and rare treasure. Zephys was not often allowed out of his room. For years, his father had kept him hidden down here, safe from the prying eyes of Mitran inquisitors. When he was younger, Zephys didn't understand. He hadn't hurt anyone. The rats and small birds that occasionally found their way into the church didn't count. Why would the Mitrans hate him? It was fear, he later learned. Fear of that which they did not understand, that which didn't fit in their tiny minds and tiny lives. It was the Mitran faith itself, his father explained, that made life this way. Before, there were many gods in Talingarde. Many faiths. They were varied and they did not all agree, but all were respected. Mitra changed that. Mitra was a small, jealous god who could not tolerate perspectives other than his own. He was afraid of the other faiths because they illuminated his own imperfection.
As he grew and learned, Zephys became more and more agitated. He hated the Mitran faith with a passion. His father always said he was trying to change the system from within, but nothing ever changed. He was also growing tired of his home. He'd started sneaking out at 15, waiting until his father had gone to bed before drawing a cloak about himself and sneaking out into town. He was initially too afraid to approach anyone, but one time he came across a girl in the streets. She was a barmaid headed for home and the hour was late. She saw Zephys shuffling through the alley and at first looked afraid, but when he retreated towards the shadows she mistook it for fear and approached him instead. She asked if he was hungry. He remembered her hair. It was so yellow. She was kind, but when his hood revealed his unnatural face she shrieked and tried to run. Zephys panicked. He remembered trying to make her be quiet. He covered her mouth. Eventually she stopped moving.
The next evening after services his father came down to the basement. Zephyr expected him to be furious. Instead the tall man spoke calmly, ”I should have expected this. After all, you're of an age for these kind of urges. Do not go seeking them, for that is dangerous. I will bring them to you.” Zephyr discovered what he meant when a week later his father brought the cot and chains into his room and then the day after when he brought the girl. ”I've silenced this room from the outside. Have your fun, talk to her if you wish, but do not let her leave. No matter what they say, you cannot trust them.” Zephys heard the wisdom in these words. After all, hadn't the barmaid betrayed his trust as well.
Zephys was startled from his reminiscing when he heard a bang and startled shrieks from above. Bootsteps and his father's shouts. He brought up a ward and reached for the dagger he kept at his bedside. When the inquisitors burst through the basement door the sight of his father bruised and in chains enraged him and he charged at the group, but was quickly outnumbered and brought down. As two held him down, he saw a third heading towards his bookshelf. He reached out a hand and begand to protest as the club came down on his skull and the rest was blackness.

pretty much anything really..just didn't want to deal with the headache of implementing firearms into the mix.

Yodler, what is your stance on the Ironborn of Questhaven?
Or how about a Giant?
Note: the giant race starts out as medium size.

Zephys |

Zephys wrote:** spoiler omitted **...By the way, what was your familiar? Wasn't mentioned in the background or character sheet. Just curious.
You said we don't start with one, so I don't have one yet. Figured that would be simpler and I could attract one later after the prison break.

Ironborne sounds cool, would have no problem if you had appropriate ties in your background story. I don't have that resource so I can't really say much until i see a build ;)

Ok I am thinking of playing a Fetchling Oracle (to give some healing support but also be EVIL) of the Dark Tapestry. Here is my rolls:
Str: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Dex: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Con= 8
Int: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Wis: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Cha- 18
Humm not bad. I'll start making my character.

I sent you a PM with the info for the Ironborn.
