Laiashi hesitates! The quickling rushes past her, and its rapier only brushes her armor. The fey bursts toward the cover of a stone and a frustrated Stonegrin plods after him. The sky has turned bright pink in the east...

Rapier @ Lai: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16 MISS

Round IV -- bold may act!
1. Cyflymder (6 dmg), Gire
2. Stonegrin (2 dmg), Inira, Kaye, Laiashi (6/10 hp)

The Exchange

Female Ifrit Rogue 6 | AC: 21/16/[21] | HP: 48/48 | Fort +4*, Ref +10* (evasion), Will +1* (*+2 vs fire/light) | CMB +4, CMD 19 | Init +7 | Perception +5 (+2 vs surprise)

Sorry. Not as easy for me to post on weekends.

Lai trudges through the grasping vines, lashing out at the creature.

Right dagger vs fey: 1d2 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1

Unfortunately, it seems the vines throw off her balance entirely.

The Exchange

HP 23/24 | AC 19 T 14 FF 15 | Saves 5/8/2 (+2 vs mind affecting, poison) | Perception +7 | Init +4 | CMD 16 | Extracts 2 | Bombs 1/8 | Mutagen (Activated) (+Dex, -Wis, +2 Natural Armor) | Male Human Alchemist 3 | GM Reroll +1 |

Kaye sees an opening, so he mixes and bomb and tosses it.

Ranged Touch, Mutagen, Point Blank Shot: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 26
Fire Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 = 8

Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 21
Crit Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 1 = 5

Reflex Save DC 14 for half damage. Thanks to his Precise Bombs discovery, Kaye can exclude squares (like Stonegrim) from the blast.

Afterwards he moves back towards Iniria. "I think the fey is after you!"

Silver Crusade

Female Half-Elf Monk (Qinggong Zen Archer) 6 | HP: 39/39 | AC: 18 (18 Tch, 15 Fl) | CMD: 21 | F: +6, R: +6, W: +10 | Init: +1 | Perc: +18, SM: +10 | Active conditions: none

Inira moves around for a better shot with another cold iron arrow.

Attack, Deadly Aim: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 2 = 11

Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 8 Miss Direction: 1d8 ⇒ 5
Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 53

By some strange miracle, the quickling's blurry form is enough to save him from immediate fiery armeggedon -- but the arrow that follows the bomb puts a final end to the machinations of the nigh-cooked fey!

Stonegrin covers as Laiashi quickly scoops up the lorestone and rushes to the safety of the trees. The Pathfinders take a well-deserved rest amid a gorgeous sunrise, and are soon on their way home. Back at the Grand Lodge the lorestone is added to the collection -- unlocking its mysteries will consume many years of study. The defeat of Cyflymder’s gang removes a minor menace from the Verduran Forest, allowing local, peaceful druidic activity to resume. But, as explorers push ever deeper into the dark groves, friction is bound to flare up again! Perhaps the Pathfinders will again be needed before long.

And that concludes this extremely short adventure! Thanks for playing, everyone. I hope it was fun. Chronicles will be out shortly.

Thanks, GM! Quick and entertaining!

Curious - did I need the cold iron arrows? Inira should probably try to recover some...

All the fey had DR, so yes that helped. I never buy regular arrows myself, as cold iron is cheap enough I'd rather just buy those. YOu can roll to recover if you want.

"Did it just fly through my bomb? I my aim was spot on! Perfect!" Kaye shakes his head. "I have to work on this concoction. Maybe it's dulling my senses..."

Kaye has no idea what the circle is supposed to do, besides some kind of ritual. "Ugh, my feet are tired. At least we can see the sun rise." Kaye is glad to get some rest and work on his potions.

"We weren't able to save him, but at least we got our hands on the lorestone." Kaye nods. "Take good care of it. I have much to learn about druid circles, and what you can sell them."

With that, Kaye is off to learn about the fine art of manipulation.

Silver Crusade

Female Half-Elf Monk (Qinggong Zen Archer) 6 | HP: 39/39 | AC: 18 (18 Tch, 15 Fl) | CMD: 21 | F: +6, R: +6, W: +10 | Init: +1 | Perc: +18, SM: +10 | Active conditions: none

Looks like only 2 arrows missed.

Recover?: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Recover?: 1d2 ⇒ 2

And neither was recovered. :)
