To him this was holy ground, and despite the fact that he had never actually hit anyone with his hammer, he wasn't about to slink away when he knew his god was watching. His stomach felt like it was in knots and his hands were slick with sweat. But with comrades by his side, he had high hopes.

Khaz casts bless, causing the weapons of his allies to briefly glow with the light of the forge.

And with that he has used up all of his actions. +1 to hit in close combat for us

I will make that your 1st action after initiative. Your first turn was double move behind JP. Plus, not everyone is inside of 50' to receive the blessing right now.

'Blast I can't get to the Worg, but I don't have to leave it's allies. Charging toward the northern wolf, Sariel attacks with his sword, but calling to the Worg. "You are next Worg, come face us!"

ROUND ONE

Two wolves sprint out of the cave from behind the wolf (K-2,M-2). One of them attacks Sariel and one of them attacks JP. The one attacking JP waits until it has a partner to flank with.

bite: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 + 2 = 8

Both Attacks miss. The other two wolves that were already near Sariel and JP move up and attack.

One wolf bites JP's leg, causing 6 points of damage. He is unable to trip the barbarian though.

The worg charges at Arun. Arun casts a ray as the creature advances, but the ray shoots wide. Fergal then casts a spell. His staff glows with divine power and grows large thorns on both ends.

a shame these innocent wolves will follow that creature.'Seeing the worg attack his friends, Sariel pausing for a moment, looks from the warg, to the wolf he had injured. "No reason to let you suffer." he then swings his sword at the injured wolf again. Stepping back toward the worg, he looks at the second wolf to see if it will flee.

This is it! Torag watches! In the shadows of the ancestors he watches. No fear, no fear, no fear...he ran forward to the warg attacking Arun, a wordless battlecry that he hoped wound ferocious on his lips. Against all odds and reason it landed true!

Both JP and Sariel finish off a wolf each. Khaz steps up to aid Arun and hits the worg for a surprising amount of damage. "Stinking Dwarven scum!"

Bleeding heavily from the Warg's tearing of his right leg, Arun barely keeps his feet. He staggers backward, seeking some protection behind his allies.

Avogadro back away from Sariel's fight to make some attempt to aid his colleague who was being malled by the worg. As he steps towards the huge wolfen thing he catches his foot on a root, stumbling but not falling; as he reaches out to steady himself brightly coloured dust billows from his sleaves.

Move to J11, standard to cast colour spray (DC15)

Fergal, seeing the damage done to Arun by the worg, yells out, "Not on my watch, you don't!" and swings, his staff whistling through the air and crunching as it connects.

Fergal's divinely empowered staff hits the creature's spine and a crunching noise is heard.

Rusco growls, as if the the two have history, and then moves to O9. On his way, the worg addresses him, "Traitor scum. You join these two legged intruders? Fight for your kind!" The fox opens its maw and a cone of frozen mist spews forth, engulfing the worg.

Cone of cold: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6

Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

6 damage and the worg is staggered for 1 round.

The worg wilts under the attack combo from the Druid and his loyal companion.

Bad guys up next. Worg has taken 28 points of damage.

The other wolf attacks the barabarian, but misses.

The worg goes after the injured priest.

JP destroys his wolf.

Fergal and Rusco both damage the worg. 41 damage

Rusco trips the worg, which falls belly side up bleeding profusely.

Sariel: I wasn't able to move your wolf on the map earlier. He actually went to help the worg and then was laid unconscious by Avo's spell. You can coupe de gras him soon. I'll move you to finish the worg if that is OK.

Sariel brings his bastard sword down on the worg, severing its head from its body!

Sariel then turns and finishes off the last wolf.

Combat is over.

Jean-Pierre drops out of rage, and nods in satisfaction.

"This one suggests dragging the bodies away, so they don't attract carrion-eaters, and then searching this cave which they were so desperate to protect..."

He then moves to do exactly that.

"Yeah, let's be doin' that." Fergal says, falling in next to the bigger man, Rusco at his heels.

Khaz picks himself up and dusts himself looks around embarassadely. He didn't know that his channeling would heal the enemy too! Luckily it didn't seem to have harmed the party, as of yet. He continued healing now that the wolves were all dead.

2x Channels, now out: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 6) = 9
domain power, 1x shield and 1x bless left

What started slowly at first grew into a burst of healing that brought the party back to full strength. Though when he was done Khaz was certainly feeling the strain of allowing the power of the divine to flow through him.

'The wolf is down, I will put him out of his misery later, need to deal with the worg.' Sariel helps with the attack on the Worg, then returns to the wolf and put's it out of it's misery.

'At least this evil will not continue.' Sariel nods to the wolves and worg. "It would be nice to at least take the hides, so we do not waste them. But we are in a hurry."

Sariel, sword and shield in hand, follows Jean-Pierre and Fergal. Calling over his shoulder, "Come on Khaz, I've never been in a dwarven mine before, you can tell us what everything is."

Khaz instantly brightens up. With a beaming smile on his face he begins walking towards the mine entrance, already going on about the wonders of dwarven architecture (as per his knowledge engineering).

Arun dusts himself down, looking ruefully at the bloodstains on his clothing. He casts 'Mend' to repair his shredded clothing, and any other minor damage to the party's kit. Slapping Khaz on the back, he offers wordless thanks to the dwarf and Torag for the well-needed healing he received.

Looking around at the others before heading into the mines, he informs them that he is running low on magical prowess, but {b]"I still have power to perform one spell of any type, plus an extraordinary silent illusion of great credibility, should we have need of such."[/b]. Other than that, it's magic missiles, or gods forbid, a crossbow.

Passing the minced wolf eviscerated by JP, he looks again at the barbarian with a mixture of fear and awe.

Onward to the dwarven tunnels !
