GM..Kashka |
This is a campaign mode pfs-credit adventure. We will be creating a hand chosen party of characters, and traversing the entirety of the Superdungeon in succession.
We will also be utilizing the Land Rush system via google slides.
GM..Kashka |
Specifics so far:
Core Campaign.
We will run a level one adventure to get a little gp and pp to start with.
3 players are in, 2 left to find.
You will all be hand-picked pathfinders.. so you would be expected to be ready for a dungeon delve... maybe even built for it.
Agriver Rall |
Iomedae sent me.
Keith Apperson |
Wait, it's possible to PLAY an actual campaign? Huh... I didn't know you could switch sides of the screen.
I'm excited for this. FYI, I have played all but 3 floors of ES so far and have read the first few. Focus on flavor and story though will make everything very different and give me a much better avenue for not metagaming.
Just looking at Core is different... I'm thinking Bard, Paladin, maybe Wizard. Those are three things I haven't really touched so far (core or not).
GM..Kashka |
Jack and bryan have played a bit. But as far as I know... Noone has visited fort inevitable.... which has a ton of flavor and you will visit often :)
Bryan is running a paladin, and Jack is planning a switch hitter ranger. Marc and windy are not committed to classes yet.
Marc just Marc |
Suspect I will play either a ranger or a druid. A defender of the river kingdoms forests, and (of course) pathfinder. For either class pick he is concerned about the increase in activity of the Spire, and volunteered for the Society's mission so as to further explore, because there is safety in numbers.
Cleric and Bard are two backup options I briefly considered.
Silbeg |
FYI - Jon has allowed us to explore Fort Inevitable. Still, I am sure you'll have very differents takes on things.
Marc, a druid would be spectacular. If you want to play a ranger, I am not committed to it as of yet. I'd be up for just about anything (except a pacifist heal-bot cleric).
Anyone planning to rogue it up?
Spyridon Andronikos Joachim |
"It seems I have GM'd the Confirmation 18 times in a row. That is concerning."
Agriver Rall |
So we have...
Paladin (2hander)
Ranger (2hander/bow)
Druid
Bard
So we need to get Windy's pick on class then..
Can't decide between a Arabic style paladin or a Taldan gastone (Disney) looking fool.
---
He will be a nobles son who was sent along the path of one of his fathers trade ships to watch after his families best interests. His mind has wandered to other things, namely the dreams he has had around a celestial being - and his awakening to the call to be a paladin.
His dreams pull him toward the party, and speak of a rise in dark power in the spire.
---
Something like that.. he is basically just finding purpose and is driven by a divine creature in his dreams.
Agriver Rall |
Let's get some banter going! Who is playin what? Anyone have some deeeetz?
GM..Kashka |
Here's the level one Evergreen
I'd like to get going end of the week if possible

are we going to be wandering around collecting quests and everything, or just diving into the Emerald Spire?
As I recall, some of the quest searching can be a little... clunky. I'd be fine having AJ "lead us" to the quest triggers, and then we RP it out.
Agriver Rall |
Yeah that would be a preference. Time management in a pbp would be ideal as from the way level 1 is described.. it could be grueling.
Granted AJ is in hell today, and his new job is not pBp friendly ;)
Agriver Rall |
A moment of silence as we mourn AJ's social life.
Robin L'il |
April 1.
We should get together around at date and play out a level face to face
Agriver Rall |
if the 1st level is as brutal as it sounds that may make sense... do a Friday night? That's the easiest night for me. With both Windy and AJ playing... they may need to get childcare lined up if they are willing.
Robin L'il |
I was expecting it to be more like level 2... since that would give us a month plus to finish level 1.
It could be done..
Yon Li'l |
planning it a little further out for level 2 or even 3 makes sense, especially as AJ would need to basically prep the level while running us through the prior level, and if you think he has no social life now... add in that extra prepwork on top of it.
GM..Kashka |
As we begin exploring Fort Inevitable, the party will at times acquire Emerald Spire quests. These are abstract goals that give the party objectives in addition to the usual loot pillage plunder that pathfinders do so well in a dungeon. I will list them on the Tactical slides as you unlock them.
Agriver Rall |
Cool!
So the items I know of and would want to go after thus far are..
* Get the write from the lady commander
* Meet the knight we met on the road for a beverage late this afternoon.
I would rather we didn't all wander off on our own, tho with the chaotic nature of the group I could see it happening..
Thoughts?
GM..Kashka |
So I want to clear up a few questions posed to me.
1) This is a campaign-mode adventure. That means while there is a general goal, it is very free-form. You may go where you like, make alliances as you see fit and help create the world you are adventuring in
2) No you don't have to get the Letter of Warrant if you choose not to. However there are obvious consequences if the Hellknights find out you are operating in their territory and not paying the taxes
3) Abernard Royst is your employer so to speak. He will be your liaison to the Society
Agriver Rall |
Well I am in a little bit of a pickle. I get your direction Vala and it adheres to your alignment. But if we want to make this place a base of operations for our various missions to come. We need to play nice with the locals and get a warrant. That and I am playing a paladin.. so adhering to the law is going to be an important thing.
The goal I had for Agriver is to adhere to the dictum of this place, and create some positive relationships with the locals. So how do I play a paladin, with a host of chaotic people without making you guys pay the paladin tax? If we act outside of bounds – being honor bound Agriver will likely fess up to Sir Karn and his like.
Can we find a way to get the warrant as a group?
Robin L'il |
FYI - Robin will likely be getting the warrant, though he will b&~+% about it. The 30% tax is pretty steep... AJ, how does that play with the chronicles, etc?
Keeping the town as a place to base out of would be a good thing... though we may need to go somewhere else at times to get equipment, etc.
Still not sure exactly what "campaign mode" will look like in this case. :D
Vala Tinkersmith |
Yes. We can. Vala is the only one opposing it. And she's a pretty logical person. She just needs some convincing.
Spyridon Andronikos Joachim |
Yeah, I got the same questions regarding tax vs Chronicles, items we find and things we keep/turn in, whether we get mechanical effects for the quests or if it's just feel good/roleplaying.
Agriver Rall |
I would like to head to town for a real quick shopping trip (ie.. get my armor, and rework all my crap before I level etc.) and then head down stairs post leveling up etc.
Can we do a fast handwave style trip? or would you like to roleplay the shopping AJ?
