When Bella moves to aide the man she notices the back of his shirt is dry with rips and gashes in the fabric. When she lifts up his shirt to see the wounds below a chunk of hard flesh suddenly falls to the ground by her feet. The man's back is ravaged, large hunks of flesh and skin are completely gone, leaving the muscle and bone visible. He has blood everywhere, but it's thick and dry... almost like wax as it congealed immediately after his injuries. The man's injuries are extremely severe and his survival is unlikely without potent magic.

The one coherent woodsman glances down at his hands when Zirren asked about the golden substance, and then suddenly he starts wiping it on the front of his shirt as if trying to smear the substance off. "I... don't rightly know... Must've been something to do with that fey and what he did to our friend..." He seems to be sincere...

The one vocal member of the little group nods to Ruhk. "Yeah, wash it off. That's a good idea." He says distractedly as he looks at his companion's exposed back. He stares in horror for a moment before shaking his head as if trying to erase the memory of the horrible wounds. He then walks over to his other companion and lightly kicks his feet to get his attention. "C'mon, let's go wash this off."

The man looks up at his companion and suddenly realizes the gold residue it all over his hands. His eyes go wide and he stares at the group for a moment, his mouth opening and closing a few times. The other man leans down and grabs him by the collar, pulls him to his feet. "I said c'mon. We'll use the lake water." He then begins to basically pull the other man along, while the other tosses nervous glances back towards the four of you.

As the two men are wandering off, Ruhk hears the nervous man whisper to his companion. "Do they know what this is?"

Ruhk moves over to Belladonna, gently putting his hands on her shoulders and kneeling down so he can look her in the eyes.
"Breathe Bella, breathe...we will try to keep him and the others alive until Caine gets here, and if he can help them, great."

Ruhk then Gives Belladonna a hug.
I think it may be too late, but she has enough to worry about already, and I COULD be wrong...

Zirren puts a hand to his head. "Look, you did what you could Bella. Listen to Ruhk, no one was expecting you to pull out a miracle." He looked at the two retreating men. "I don't know what's going on here exactly, but at least one of them was agitated about something. We just need to make sure that we do everything we can for this man until Art and Caine get back."

Belladonna quickly grabs her waterskin and dagger from her stuff. She then returns to tend to the man's wounds. She's trying to wash him while scraping off the strange congealed blood and goop.

Belladonna manages to stabilize the horribly wounded man, keeping him from slipping into the depths of Pharasma's boneyard... for now. He is unconscious and his breathing is very rapid and shallow, but he's alive. The blood comes off fairly easily and appears almost crystalline. The tissue beneath the blood is stiff and extremely brittle, Belladonna accidentally breaks small pieces of skin while she works...

Zilka's assumptions are correct, there is something off about these three men... they are definitely hiding something, but what? Up by the lake, the two men are huddled together, whispering to each other as they wash their hands in the cool water of the Droskmere. The anxious one keeps glancing over his shoulder towards the group as they talk, as if keeping tabs on their location. She ties to hear

While Belladonna working her healing mojo and Zilka watches the two suspicious men, Ruhk and Zirren keep their eyes out for any signs of danger. As they listen and watch, Ruhk suddenly becomes aware of a small shadow moving along the water's edge to the west, creeping towards to the two men who are washing themselves. The form is very indistinct, but it's small and humanoid. The shape is about 50 feet away from the two men and 70 feet away from the group.

At the very same moment, Zirren notices a glow of silverish light near the edge of the forest (just to the south of where the shadowy figure is...) as four orbs of silvery light shoot out from the treeline towards the lake.

Forest - 10:30 PM

While Caine and Boote are making their way back towards the Droskmere, they suddenly spot a tiny little figure that appears to be crawling across the ground in the middle of the path, leaving behind a lightly glowing trail of golden liquid... The little figure does not seem to be aware of you, yet...

Knowledge: Nature DC 16:
The creature is a keld piskie, a form of fairy fey that is native to the Darkmoon Wood and quite rare outside of the forest.

You recall dubious and ludicrous stories of fairy blood being used to transmute lead, and other various less valuable metals, into gold by saturating the base metal in the fairy blood.

The two men look up at Ruhk when he starts yelling about danger near the water while Zilka's lights streak towards them. At that very same moment, the lights that had come out of the forest reach the shadowy figure and illuminates the shadow figure. At this same moment, a small group of faun and a satyr suddenly burst forth from the treeline thirty feet south of the frozen gnome-looking creature. There is a moment of brief, silent confusion as all the involved parties see one another, then suddenly the frosty gnome lets out a horrible cackle.

The two men spin at the sound and see the object of their fear; the more nervous of the two shrieks in sheer terror, then urinates himself, and passes out from the psychological shock. "It's found us!" The other man yells and takes off running towards the east as fast as he can... Ignoring the fleeing man, the satyr points at the strange gnome and shouts in Sylvan to his companions. "Nid yw'n! Lladd y creadur!"

The faun and satyr rush towards their target just as Ruhk, Zilka, and Zirren reach the unconscious man. In the strange light of the moon, the gnome seems to almost grin at the trio before it suddenly summons up a wall of ice between it and the party, sealing them off from the battle about to take place...

Sylvan:
"There it is! Kill the creature!"

Is there a battle map? if not, is there a way around the wall that Zilka can see, or can it be jumped or climbed? If not, Zilka will attack the wall with her longsword. How many inches thick is it?

Strength check to try to break through: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 That ought to do it unless his caster level is greater than 7.

Wow, of course I just glance over the bottom of Faelyn's page. Well Zirren doesn't know this but he is trying to get you to stop. But he's also not quite as fast as Zilka is, so feel free to do as you see fit.

After a moment Zirren had parsed what the Satyr had said. Given the cackling of the Gnome-like creature he made a decision. He raised a hand and called forth his arcane power, within a few seconds it coalesced into the form of an Eagle imbued with the power of the Heavens.

"Strike at the cold one!"

Charging Eagle: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 3 + 2 + 1 = 16

A couple of things... No battlemap, as this will be more cinematic than actual combat; however, I want you guys to feel free to play this out however you want. In regards to your other question, Zilka... the wall is 20' high and 50' long; it starts at the treeline and then extends 20' out into the lake. You are not sure on the thickness, but it appears to be nearly 1' thick. Zirren where are you summoning your eagle in relation to your location? (i.e. this side of the wall, other side, etc?)

As Zilka charges the wall she feels a bitter cold exuding from the frigid ice; however, that does not stop her in quest to enter the fray! Despite her exceptional strength Zilka is unable to break through the wall; however, her longsword cuts through a large section of ice and a 3" thick slab crumbles to the ground around her feet! Zirren begins the process of summoning up a celestial eagle to aide them, while Ruhk tries to sort through the chaos! Shouts and screams of pain echo oddly from the other side of the ice wall as combat is joined between the fey.

Meanwhile, over in the treeline, Belladonna tries to calm her little fox companion and keep the little creature from harm; however, despite her insistence the little creature follows behind her literally at her heels, whimpering in fright.

Also, Zirren, anytime something in said in a language outside Common I try to use google translator to translate it into a different language, and then put what was said into a spoiler below for anyone who is fluent in that language!

No need to make an attack roll, Ruhk. You auto damage! Normally, I would say a sword probably wouldn't be an effective weapon to damage a wall, but it is only ice and I feel the Rule of Cool overrides that other rules!

Ruhk rushes up behind Zilka and digs his axe deep into the wall, causing more chunks of bitterly cold ice to spill around their feet. There is now a good section of the wall that has been broken away. Not broken through yet... but a couple more solid hits...

Belladonna scoops up the scared fox and holds him to her chest. She then breaks stealth and runs over to her friends. She keeps behind a tree and says "What's going on?? What was that scary bearded thing? Who are the goat leg people? Are the humans okay? Can I do anything to help? Why is this happening!?"

Rule of cool you say...?

Realizing that a blunt weapon would be of much better use, and especially a heavy one, Ruhk quickly back pedals, getting some distance between himself and the wall, before rushing headlong at it.
A few feet before he reaches the wall, he jumps into the air, twisting so he hits the wall sideways, covering as much area as possible.

"Flying Ulfen battering ram!"

Belladonna: I think the rest of us are actually surrounded by a wall of Ice right now. But I do like the idea of you yelling at us over the wall from the tree line.

GM: I am summoning the Eagle 25 feet above the wall, on my side. The Eagle has an 80 fly speed so I figured it could probably reach the Icy gnome. Do recall that my ability allows it to be summoned as a standard action. I forgot to put the spoilers around it but Zirren was supposed to be saying the command in Celestial.

Sunglasses are on.

Zirren looks around the wall of ice, and decided that breaking through wasn't the way to get through this. "Belladonna, stay back! Zilka, give me a boost."

Zilka steps back from trying to attack the wall of ice, and bends over, making a step with her hands to lift Zirren up.

Instead of trying to break through the wall, Zirren thought the next best thing to do was to try and climb over.

He backed up a couple of feet and moved just fast enough to get some momentum going. Using Zilka to help boost himself over the wall he leaped for the edge, attempting to pull himself up.
Climb: 1d20 ⇒ 3

And completely misjudged how slick the wall was, as well as his instinctual reaction to something so cold, which was to release it almost immediately.

He partly slammed into the wall before falling back and away from the edge in a heap.

Thank you for that reminder, Zirren! I will ask this though, when you are using Conjurer's Focus, if you could put that at the bottom of your posts with an ooc tag, just so I know for sure which ability you are using. Thanks! I would ask the same of everyone to be honest... feel free to make your posts as cinematic as you want and then just do a quick recap wrapped with ooc tags just so I can more easily track your actions. That would be fantastic guys!

Zirren's conjured eagle suddenly streaks down from the air behind the wall with a piercing cry! Zirren and Zilka work together to try and climb over the wall, but unfortunately Zirren is unable to make it extra 15' feet to reach the lip of the wall. The frigidness leaves his exposed skin tingling before he bounces off the wall and lands hard onto the ground.

Ruhk rushes toward the wall and slams into the wall, hard and breaks off some more chunks of ice; however, he finds his shoulder throbbing slightly afterward from the impact and the sheer bitter cold of the ice. He does find, though, that he can now see through a hole in the wall. Ruhk is able glimpse a peak of the battle raging beyond their grasp... Two faun lay dead or dying around the strange little gnome creature with four more still fighting and the satyr hacking away. The gnome's 'beard', a mass of wriggling icicles, is coating with blood and bits of flesh as several spears sprout from its body... Suddenly he spots Zirren's eagle shooting down like meteor towards the little creature and tear a massive hunk of frozen flesh from the creature; however, the eagle takes as much as it gives as several of the icicle growths from the beard fling around to pierce the summoned creature several times.

Well, it was a good idea, very "cool" if I do say so myself (heh), but it won't work anymore, HOWEVER, I got eyes on the target now.

Ruhk scrambles to his feet, draws his shortbow and sends an arrow at the evil looking little "gnome" creature.
