Having been hit quite badly, Trevor will use his last swift LoH.
2d6 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5

As Jirin moves past the ape, it bites at her but misses due to Jirin protecting herself.

Bite 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Damage 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Kelkzar and Rauno are up. Quintus will go after Rauno. Rowena is functional this round, though her longspear is on the floor.

Going to post, but I might be a round ahead of everyone (unless I miscounted someplace)

Round 9

Kelkzar continues with a quiet prayer to Ragathiel, worried about the beating the ape is delivering to Trevor. He nudges Rowena with his foot, "We could really use you again right now Rowena! Wake up!" Seeing her begin to stir, he strikes at the ape again with renewed vigor. Once again, aided by the ape's attention to Trevor, he delivers a wicked puncture to the ape's backside.

Kelkzar, your round has been one ahead of me for quite a few rounds. I think you may be one ahead, but I could be one behind. Either way your post was for the current round :)

Kelkzar delivers a mighty blow to the ape, killing it and causing it to disappear completely.

Sorry, the Paizo site has been down for me all day.

In a desperate move, Rauno lunges at the tengu trying to punch him and discharge the negative energy coursing through him into his foe.
Prescience 1d20 ⇒ 5. 8 of 8 now used for the day.

Rauno will touch the tengu, provoking an AoO. If that hits, he'll need to save against the Ghoul Touch. I'm not sure the DC would be on it.
To hit 1d20 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 2 - 1 = 17

AC 26/T 26/FF 20; F/R/W +14/+15/+14; Max HP 111; Current HP 110 Effects:

You don't provoke AoO using a held charge from a touch spell.

Can Rowena see if the door at D15 is open?

It is open

Sorry the combination of almost 20" of snow coupled with my son being sick the last couple of days then me catching the brunt of it today has left me a little out of it

GM Blood:

Fort Save 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

No attack of opportunity, but the damaged tengu doesn't become paralyzed.

Rauno and Rowena left up

AC 27/14/25, HP 107/107 F: +10+1, R: +6+1, W: +14*+1

Round 8:

Damn him, he didn't get out. Caught between a hostile spellcaster and a hostile tengu, Quintus moves up to C6, then tries to deal with the closer hazard first and fails.

Attack on cultist: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Next action will be to withdraw to H9.

Quintus:

Description of the room:

Two long, wooden tables dominate this chamber. They run along the length of the room, pushed up against opposite walls, and are covered with a variety of beakers, alchemical tools and otehr devices. A few glass containers bubble with materials of a variety of colors, from a boiling green sludge to a fizzing, effervescent blue liquid. Several bookshelves filled with tomes occupy one section of the wall. Beside the shelves stands an intact human skeleton. A few glistening organs, a heart, a set of lungs, and a liver writhe and pulse within the skeleton's rib cage. In the middle of the chamber stands a large, black iron cauldron. A thick layer of wax seals it shut.

Rowena up last

AC 26/T 26/FF 20; F/R/W +14/+15/+14; Max HP 111; Current HP 110 Effects:

Rowena moves through the open door and up to the baddie in D14.

Trip: 1d20 + 10 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 10 - 4 = 11
Seeking guidance and insight from Korada, she spends a ki point for a second roll.
Trip: 1d20 + 10 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 10 - 4 = 11

Note: she no longer has her long spear in hand. Also, she's fighting defensively, so her AC is now 23 (22 touch).

OK, getting a post in here while I can.

The Tengu leader swings his dagger and follows up with a bite on Rauno missing both times

Dagger 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Bite 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Damage 1d3 ⇒ 1

Cultist #3 steps back and casts Ray of Frost on Quintus hitting him squarely in the chest.

Ranged Touch 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23 *Hit and Confirmed*
Cold Damage 1d3 ⇒ 2

Confirm 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Extra Cold Damage 1d3 ⇒ 1

The Faceless One says to Rowena in almost a hissing voice "You have made a grave mistake little one" then begins to cast a spell, but the last laugh is on him while he screws up the spell Doh, Merry Christmas!

Cast Defensively 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18 vs DC 19

Trevor is up last in Round 8 then everyone else in Round 9. Not sure what advancement we will have over the next week but I hope everyone has a great week! OH and I am keeping the Faceless One's stats a mystery since he is a Big-ish Bad Guy! :)

AC 27/14/25, HP 107/107 F: +10+1, R: +6+1, W: +14*+1

Quintus' action will again depend on what Rauno does.

I believe he is withdrawing to H9

Yes, I posted withdrawing to H9 early because I have family visiting and wasn't sure when I'd be able to get online. Sorry if going out of order like that confused things at all.

AC 27/14/25, HP 107/107 F: +10+1, R: +6+1, W: +14*+1

That's right; I remember now. One thing, though--can he execute that withdrawal without taking an AoO as he leaves F6? If that isn't an issue, Quintus' action is as follows:

Round 9:

With the cultist breaking contact with him and Rauno clearing out of the way, Quintus retreats and moves to attack the remaining tengu from a position of cover against further attack from the cultist. Move to F6 by the route C6 to D5 to E5 to F6. The tengu is easily able to evade the blow, however.

Attack on tengu leader: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

He can avoid the aoo because of the corner

AC 26/T 26/FF 20; F/R/W +14/+15/+14; Max HP 111; Current HP 110 Effects:

Rowena smirks at the Faceless One's reversal of fortune. Then she reaches out to grab him.

Trip roll 1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25 spends ki point for second roll
Trip roll 2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

She picks him up and drops him in E13. She then tries to kick him around the corner.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Critical confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

She motions Kelkzar to move into the now flanking square.

AoO, in case the guy tries to stand: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Rowena, the corner gives him cover which gives him a +4 to ac and he avoids any AoO

I want an aoo roll from Trevor then I can complete the round

The cleric anticipated that the cultist would return, and focused on defense to the exclusion of all else (which would explain how he came to miss the wounded tengu so badly). After his tentative swipe at the feathered fiend, he sidesteps out of the killing ground (5' step to F6).

Round 10

Eyes wide in near-panic, Jirin spots Quintus fighting for his life on the other side of the room. Reaching out toward him, she releases a trickle of magical energy to aid him in his defense even as she moves toward him to help.

Standard: hex Ward on Quintus, Move: move to (10,G)

Ward can only affect one creature at a time, and Trevor got hit so it's dissipated from him anyways. Quintus, I think, needs the help more right now! Quintus gets +2 AC (deflection) and +2 all saves (resistance) until hit or fails a save.

Thanks, Jirin. Since it's a deflection bonus to AC the ward should also add to CMD; is that the case, GM B? (I anticipate a certain tengu trying to jump over Quintus' head, and anything that'll raise the DC of that maneuver is all to the good.)

Round 10:

Having dealt with the tengu before, Quintus was ready for him to dodge past to flank. He moved quickly to intercept, scimitar sweeping down on the wounded bird and leaving him dying on the ground. Jirin's protective hex deflected the cultist's spell, and the cleric smiled as he raised his bloody blade. "Sarenrae's mercy is great. Surrender or I'll send you to the dark powers you follow!"

Confirm: AoO on tengu: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
AoO damage to tengu: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Round 11:

Quintus' ploy succeeded, but at the expense of his next blow.

Attack on nearest foe: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Quintus, that was enough to kill the tengu, you can take back 3 hps of damage that the tengu would have done. Also I believe then you would still have had the ward hex on and the ray would have missed so I think you should have the ray damage back also.

AC 27/14/25, HP 107/107 F: +10+1, R: +6+1, W: +14*+1

Now that I think of it, does Jirin's hex add to touch AC? If so, the ray of frost missed.
