I wasn't sure who had the book and I couldn't located them in the SRD.

I have a PDF of the book on my computer at work. In the Old system each exposure to a poison increased the DC but here it doesn't because it does dmg regardless.

Do we not like the new poison system? I thought it would be more interesting

New poison and disease rules in the SRD

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

The progression is a nice change. But due to the much harder recovery it changes the power level of poison.

With the spells to cure that being neutralize poison and heal and the healing demanding two nights and the day in between of bed rest it has a major effect on gameplay.

This is good if you want to make poison more viable for use of the players. But if you take an AP written for the old rules and suddenly a Monitor Lizard who is CR2 (with the potion of Lesser Restoration already given in the AP) becomes a threat to halt everything as we have to go back into the mongrel village to cure the effects for days.

The system has some benefits but is a major power-up for poison. And especially the cure of poison is not really good.

Ratfolk Crafter 6 (HP 63)

I like the unchained system

M Bowerbird Valet Familiar 5(HP 23)

Lynn is standing at the northern door, he can't leave without going through her

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

@DM Raltus
Please reread my last post in gameplay. I especially wrote that I move in front of the door to prevent the mongrel going through.

If the mongrel insists on going that route I'll get a few AoOs while he moves opens the door and moves again.

I don't think there are many poisons in this game, I just wanted to try one of the other alternate systems.

I do want to try the DR system and the Action Economy one that limits you to 3 actions a round

Ratfolk Crafter 6 (HP 63)

You mean Armor as DR?
Would you like to try the unchained magic item creation?
I have been wanting to try the revised action economy from unchained for a while myself, I am not sure how well it will interface with Mythic though

I don't mean here but it could be done in a 1 shot.

I will look at the rules for the magic item creation tonight and get back to you.

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

Yep. Perfect. Nothing for hours and then together in different directions :P

SOrry I forgot to respond last night to this thread

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

@DM Rltus
Uhm... after this post I hoped you would post now. Because it is still your turn.

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

And Lann and Lynn see...
drum roll

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

Hey, Don only one of us need to take the shot. I'd say I take it, as I can heal as a swift. If you agree move your post behind mine and remove being shot. If not I'll remove it from mine.

If Don takes it tack on another 2 dmg because the shooters favored enemy is humans.

but that is OOC knowledge.

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

There is only four minutes left for Don.

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

Time over. Let the fight run it's course. I changed my post at the last minute.

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

Ok, so the brown lines are barricades used to stop charging and as cover.

I jumped down on the position steel gate stands now. Then I took a five foot step into the room to make room or the others and then I moved to the door at the far end. I only have four squares movement, so I would end up in the square above the monitor lizard. Which is a much more favourable position to stop this annoying shooting at me. And also closer to blocking the entrance - which was the original goal.

Maybe I couldn't reach that because of the bow shooter standing in the way. But it only took a five foot step away and that wouldn't work over the cover. So I'd be top left of it at worst.

If you'd be so nice to reposition me?

Quote:
What is Tink up to?

As by his general character concept and his first post in this encounter he is not part taking in the fight. So if you don't throw him something to collect or use his knowledge on in the room on the higher floor then he is probably going to do nothing.

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

@Tink
Are you just trying to prove me wrong? :P

Ratfolk Crafter 6 (HP 63)

I nearly edited my post. But he is being sensible. He can't see into the corner so he doesn't know own what SteelGate is doing. He also doesn't want to wander off too far as there may still be mongrels.

Next turn Lynn will get an enlarge person if she wants.

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

Yes please. The lowered AC hurts a bit but the bigger damage dice will hurt more. Muhahaha.

If there is someone left next round. If we stop rolling shitty this might be over by then.

Also, how high is the ceiling of these caves?

Ratfolk Crafter 6 (HP 63)

The extra reach will also enable you to basically threaten the entire cave

I will say it is tall enough for you to reach large size, there is something else in that room but Tink would have had to move to the other alcove

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

Talking about beating a dead horse: As can be seen in the init-list non of the mongrels Iko and Don attack are actively partaking in the fight anymore.

So if someone could help me with the three still alive opponents that are glued to my butt please?

Iko didn't act from the last round, I just did it to make sense.

Since you are free I would suggest moving, the Female mongrel is making her way back towards the way you came down.

She might be able to be redeemed with some work but the Woman Tiefling cannot.

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

Does breaking free mean I can move but keep the other penalties? Or am I completely free of the stuff?

It doesn't say but I will say you keep the dex penalty just because it is still sticky. So you are sticking as you are walking but free to walk. It won't impede your movement.

DM Raltus wrote:
why 2 attacks?

Wasn't done with my post, but the boards took my preview as post. But by the time you wrote yours it was a Acrobatics roll already, as I have 10foot reach with the fist and 15-20feet reach with the glaive and can't 5foot step that far to be able to attack with the glaive.

But it's nice of the dead Mr. half-demon not to notice and miss his AoO :) For I don't think he has that bad a CMD.

Meh he is dead now, you are good.

I expect a book that is thrown into glowing coal to catch fire immediately. Not a situation where you can simply take it back out of and be done with dusting it off.

Ratfolk Crafter 6 (HP 63)

Have you ever tried to burn a phonebook? Books take forever to catch fire or burn. Paper can even be used as a fire retardent

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

Have you ever tried to get a phone book back out of glowing coals? Even if the book landed tightly closed and not open with the pages down on the coals so it takes a while to catch fire.

So I'd expect a little more effort to deny me my burning of books. That and an explanation at the point of my glaive why you interrupt my cleansing by fire :P

Human Paladin 3

Any treasure claims?

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

I already snatched the mwk glaive and bagged the bow from the mongrel.

Which bow is that btw. Raltus?

But if someone has better abilities to use a bow and doesn't have one yet I'll hand that over.

It is just a mstr work long bow.

Ok so I couldn't get on till now, a few things.

Not that it is an issue but if anyone has ever read this before or played this they know that in the lock box is the Magical McGuffin sword for the book. We have no Paladin so really it is kinda not going to be as cool as it could be.

Ratfolk Crafter 6 (HP 63)

I was hoping you would press the Issue Lynn

Perhaps the invisibility potion to a sneaky sort? Or maybe have a giant robot suddenly appear to bonk people on the head.

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

Holy Shit, eh I mean Holy Avenger at level 2? Someone suddenly feeling the urge to become lawful good :P

it isn't a holy avenger right now but it is a cold iron long sword and goes up from there, but really it only progresses if you are a paladin.

Human Paladin 3

The lockbox holds a small leather pouch containing an assortment of
semiprecious gemstones (three chips of lapis lazuli worth
10 gp each, two bloodstones worth 50 gp each, a citrine
worth 50 gp, and a white pearl worth 100 gp) as well as a scroll
of bear’s endurance and a scroll of remove disease. The lockbox
also contains long, thin darkwood sword case worth 200 gp.

lol, i feel like there is a bad echo, I will update the loot list tonight or tomorrow.

Ever tried that in real life? In the face of someone really angry?

I did. Not in that Zen speak but in the spirit of it: You're doing that wrong, why don't you make it easier for yourself by doing it right :)
Earned me some punches to the arm. And that were people who actually like me.

Telling that to an enraged and enlarged woman with a deadly weapon at hand (spiked gauntlets) is really courageous :D

That is so surreal, it gave me a good laugh.

I've diffused a couple fights before yeah but also good thing this isn't real life either so I can get away with stuff like that ;)
And as always it's good to make people laugh :)

So no one is going to take the magical McGuffin sword? I was thinking of making it into a Glaive but you got a free master work one. I could make it a temple sword. Or a Earth Breaker.

I'll gladly take it if it's a temple sword.

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

I have a mwk glaive and my cold iron one. So I thought it would be fair to leave the sword to Don as the only one who else can use it as it has almost no benefit for me besides being magical. Which is not yet the big thing.

But Don hasn't answered the offer in game yet.

The bigger issue is though that the sword is not going to play with anyone else but a pally. This will make it useless pretty fast.

Yes I know, it is also cold iron so I mean really Don could get it and I could just give him the Legendary property for it at the points it would get them if it were on a Paladin.

Aasimar Warpriest (7) - HP 93, AC 18/12/16 (Large 16/10/15), FRW 7/4/8, Ini +7, Perc. +13

CG guy getting the benefits of the pally. It is indeed a desperate world we're playing in :P

Iko has no alignment given in the profile. But if he isn't LG then we don't have a single LG character in the group - while playing the AP that cries pally at the top of it's lungs :D
