Hey, AK and Ansha: I assume you guys are using a translator for the Elvish dialogue? Which one?
If I had to guess, I'd say AK was using this translator, though I didn't find that until way later. I...am just a nerd, and after the first couple of posts started translating it into Quenya manually.
My (Tolkien) nerd cred is low enough I had to Google 'Quenya.' Here I thought it was just Elvish. :P

Did we ascertain how far it is to the ranch's northern edge where the ankylosaurus has been seen and how long it will take us to get there?
The anklyosaurus attacks happened a little over a mile away- still within sight of the large building at the centre of the estate. Should be a short journey to the edge of the jungle there.
Joana- to answer your question i've used quite a few Elven "translators". I haven't settled on one yet. I may just use Ansha's link (not the one I have been using, but an awesome find!).
I'm back in the states, but not yet home (stuck with bad hotel and airport Internet till then). Had a good trip, but it will good to get back home. I will try to get read-up and back in the threads over the next day or two. Should be home and up to speed by Thursday night. Sorry for the posting gap.
Re-reading the last couple of pages to try to remember what exactly we were planning to do. One thing was to consult Jeggare about both the pilgrim and any general rumors around town, although we don't necessarily have to do so before tackling the ankylosaurus. We were also intending to question Eliandra, although that's probably best handled by Ansha.
Qhude left the banquet before any of the finer detail was discussed, so in his mind it's a pretty simple go hunt the big lizard quest - which is what he's prepared for.
More than willing to be proven wrong - but that's his mindset at present.

Internet is fine. I didn't get time to update you guys but I have been rushed away for a teamwork building weekend by my degree programme. This is the first window i've had to get on the internet since midday Friday and its a 2 minute window, its crazy intense.

The above is a legacy of the 3E grapple rules. With PFRPG redefining grapple as "I have your arm, not your whole body," the above doesn't make sense, and it was only present in one part of the Core Rulebook (in the Concentration section, I think). So it's being removed in errata: the "no somatic components while you're grappled" rule shouldn't be in the book.

A query (as it came up in a recent campaign) of alignment.
What alignment do you think Qhude is based on his actions? Still TN, or is he CN?
I vote he's CN, because the more Chaotic in the group, the better.

I'd say True Neutral, more in that he doesn't meet the standards for Chaos than in an exact match to Neutrality. Qhude has fought to protect the Sargavan soldiers and Bethany, and it couldn't just have been for love of battle because he was willing to negotiate for Bethany rather than go in fighting. He would have been shamed if we had interfered in his honor-battle with the Bandu raider, whereas a Chaotic character wouldn't have cared if his word was kept or not. He embraces rather than challenges the traditions of the Zenj. And while he most definitely represents freedom from society's restrictions, he does accept the world as it is rather than fighting against it.
He may express his Neutrality in overtly violent ways, but I don't think he's philosophically Chaotic. Of course, people seem to think I have an uncompromising reading of Chaos. :)
I think I agree with Joana on the matter of Qhude's alignment, mate. He has not really done anything -at least overtly- chaotic. Furthermore, he appears to have a sense of honor and fair play and adhere to a form of discipline and a set of rules, even if they are his own more or less.
I'll keep him TN for now then... though with a smile I note that there's no confusion as to whether he should be Good or Evil. I think he neatly bisects that axis.
Actually, given that he adhears to a strong personal code outside of the area where that code is common, an argument for Lawful could be made.
I think TN is still the most fitting though.
I think TN is a comfortable fit right now. Its rare someone fits entirely within an alignment and Qhude has both chaotic and lawful elements.
