If I had to guess, I'd say AK was using this translator, though I didn't find that until way later. I...am just a nerd, and after the first couple of posts started translating it into Quenya manually.

I'm back in the states, but not yet home (stuck with bad hotel and airport Internet till then). Had a good trip, but it will good to get back home. I will try to get read-up and back in the threads over the next day or two. Should be home and up to speed by Thursday night. Sorry for the posting gap.

Re-reading the last couple of pages to try to remember what exactly we were planning to do. One thing was to consult Jeggare about both the pilgrim and any general rumors around town, although we don't necessarily have to do so before tackling the ankylosaurus. We were also intending to question Eliandra, although that's probably best handled by Ansha.

Qhude |

Qhude left the banquet before any of the finer detail was discussed, so in his mind it's a pretty simple go hunt the big lizard quest - which is what he's prepared for.
More than willing to be proven wrong - but that's his mindset at present.
Sick kids, man-flu and crappy internet connectivity is rife at present, so will remain intermittent throughout holiday timeframe.

Internet is fine. I didn't get time to update you guys but I have been rushed away for a teamwork building weekend by my degree programme. This is the first window i've had to get on the internet since midday Friday and its a 2 minute window, its crazy intense.
Please spread the word where necessary, i'm back in action on monday!

She would have thrown a Color Spray in his face, but apparently she can't use spells with Somatic components while grappled. By the way, were we still ignoring material components or do I need to look again at wasting a feat on Eschew Materials?
If only I had seen the following way back when Ansha was being man-handled:
The above is a legacy of the 3E grapple rules. With PFRPG redefining grapple as "I have your arm, not your whole body," the above doesn't make sense, and it was only present in one part of the Core Rulebook (in the Concentration section, I think). So it's being removed in errata: the "no somatic components while you're grappled" rule shouldn't be in the book.

Neutral: A neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. She doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos (and thus neutral is sometimes called “true neutral”). Most neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character probably thinks of good as better than evil—after all, she would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, she's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way.
Some neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run.
Neutral means you act naturally in any situation, without prejudice or compulsion.
Chaotic Neutral: A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those others suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as he is to cross it.
Chaotic neutral represents freedom from both society's restrictions and a do-gooder's zeal.
I'd say True Neutral, more in that he doesn't meet the standards for Chaos than in an exact match to Neutrality. Qhude has fought to protect the Sargavan soldiers and Bethany, and it couldn't just have been for love of battle because he was willing to negotiate for Bethany rather than go in fighting. He would have been shamed if we had interfered in his honor-battle with the Bandu raider, whereas a Chaotic character wouldn't have cared if his word was kept or not. He embraces rather than challenges the traditions of the Zenj. And while he most definitely represents freedom from society's restrictions, he does accept the world as it is rather than fighting against it.
He may express his Neutrality in overtly violent ways, but I don't think he's philosophically Chaotic. Of course, people seem to think I have an uncompromising reading of Chaos. :)

As the trail entered darkening forest Jakob plucks a small round red berry from a hanging vine. With a whisper of sylvan the berry begins to glow. Looking rather sheepish Jakob closes his hand around the fruit shuttering the light.
To answer your in-thread question, AK, it does look like Jakob has a light source.

Ninj'd by Ansha!

Oh, boy... And unfortunately Kieran will be attacking. Played true to form, he is a bit reckless. Here's hoping he does not lose any body parts, at least no irreplaceable ones.
Ah, a rules question: He is currently holding his sword in his right hand. If he were to draw and throw his dagger with his left, would it be considered two-weapon fighting or not?

Edit: I thought it was rather apparent that there would be a cover bonus in somewhere. I believe I hinted at it in the description.
Yeah, you did:
a good shot that was unfortunately deflected slightly off course by the dense undergrowth
And even explicitly, here:
attacks with reach weapons and ranged attacks will be subject to cover.
It's just sobering to start off a combat at 2nd level and see a 21 miss. ;)

Qhude |

Joanna - Cru-tho-ni-ax gave Qhude two nets:
Eventually, Cruthoniax presented Qhude with two large, intricately folded nets.
Though I'm still internally debating whether Qhude is going to be a bit too emo to use the second... partially depends on whether the anklylosaurus draws blood...

And how much. :P
Tebati's just a bit exercised because it's her boyfriend in melee with a dinosaur while you guys are in the back playing with butterfly nets. ;)
Not on Facebook. Not a fan of websites that don't allow lurking. I'm commitment-shy.
