I'm building an elf spellcaster and plan on taking the following:
Martial Experience - You've crossed blades with a wide variety of foes wielding a wide variety of weapons, and you've learned the basics of fighting with nearly any of them. When wielding a weapon you aren't proficient with, treat your level as your proficiency bonus.
At 11th level, you become trained in all weapons.
Weapon Proficiency (x1) - You become trained in all martial weapons. If you were already trained in all martial weapons, you become trained in one advanced weapon of your choice. If you are at least 11th level, you also become an expert in these weapons.
Which would I end up getting at level 11?
- expert in all simple and martial weapons and a single advanced weapon and trained in all other advanced weapons
OR
- expert in all simple weapons and a single advanced weapon and trained in all other weapons

A persnickety GM would make you Retrain the Weapon Proficiency in your level 3 feat slot in order for it to trigger the 'If you were already trained in all martial weapons' clause. A really persnickety GM would make you put it in a level 11+ general feat slot for that to take effect.
I don't see the point in being that persnickety. I'd let it take effect at level 11 so that when Martial Experience makes you trained in all weapons, Weapon Proficiency notices and upgrades itself to making you Expert in the Martial weapons.
