Guardian - Guardian's Armor

Rules Discussion

"Even when you are struck, your armor protects you from some harm. While wearing medium or heavy armor, you gain resistance to physical damage equal to 1 + half your level. In addition, you can rest normally while wearing medium and heavy armor."

My question is, is your half you level rounded down, so at level 1 you have resistance 1, that seems to be what the general thought is from my search, but I know spells and such on a save are half damage round down to a minimum of 1, which would give you resistance 2 if that applied with that thought process.

Can someone please clarify this for me.

Your assumption is correct. I suspect that might even be what the 1+half level formula is for, so that you have some resistance even at very low level.

Thanks, that is what I have been getting else where and just wanted to check here also.

Rounding You may need to calculate a fraction of a value, like halving damage. Always round down unless otherwise specified. For example, if a spell deals 7 damage and a creature takes half damage from it, that creature takes 3 damage.

Just a FYI.

Yup. The only time you round up is when something specifically says to.

And the only place that I know of where it says to do that is when converting Level to Rank for spellcasting and counteracting rules.
