Just checking if anyone is up to playing in Strixhaven. I've downloaded the pdf and the layout of the PDF is atrocious. However, the main book is beautiful and I have the hard copy in my cart at Amazon (at a reduced price).
I don't like 5e, but I'm willing to try it with Pathfinder. I like players to customize their characters while we play. Also I think Wizards is misrepresenting 5e in certain aspects. I have 5e in a pdf somewhere.
Strixhaven is about magical education as it's theme. The "world" is a lot like Hogwarts, but in a University setting. People come to Strixhaven to get an education in the magical arts and sciences. It's also a Magic the Gathering setting. If you like Harry Potter, you'll enjoy Strixhaven. So, who would like to play?

Hi everyone,
I did order a copy of the book and it arrived in Good Condition. I've been reading it forwards and backwards. There are some aspects I don't agree with, but yes it's a good product of the human imagination. I'll post a second review on it on my blog.
I am like RHMG Animator, there are aspects of PF2e that I don't like. (I got the 2nd edition playtest, and read through it and felt confused by it).

Okay, I did a review on my blog on Strixhaven. Strixhaven: a Curriculum of Chaos Review, check it out.
As for recruiting for a game, I'll have to see what tomorrow may bring.

It's funny how people view things differently. When the 2e first came out I did the same thing... but then when I decided to watch some actual plays and actually concentrate and read the system, I understood what they were doing with balance and action economy I fell in love with it. I think the problem many have with it is trying to make it play like PF1e or another d20 systems when it plays completely differently. It's not a revision of 1e... but a new game system.
I would probably play 5e... but GMing PF2e is so much easier than any other system I've ran I'll probably never run it again... and certainly not PF1e or D&D 3.5.
BTW... Nice review!!!
BTW(2) I'm really digging Daggerheart... but not sure how it would translate to PbP due to the lack of initiative and the order that players and GM's would act. Getting ready to run a Daggerheart conversion of Fading Suns... My all-time favorite setting that's never had a system worthy of it. at my in-person table.

I'm going up to Wizards of the Coast to buy the copyrights and trademarks to eight campaign settings, and Strixhaven is one of them. I'm also buying the copyrights and trademarks to D&D 3e. I'll own Strixhaven. I'll be able to develop Strixhaven for Dungeons and Dragons 3.0.
I hope you go get to buy them, as I'd like to patch some of the design flaws in the 3.X system, so gameplay is smooth and just as fast from level 1 to level 20+

I, well, we'll see. Wizards has been a fickle company. But I'd love to develop Strixhaven for D&D 3e.
