On d20 and aon explanation of each card, the type of bonus is unspecified but on d20's table that tells the dm what playing card corresponds to what deck of many things card, the short description in the table says inherent bonus.
Mainly asking because a +2 untyped(and stackable) bonus from the deck is a big deal while a +2 inherent bonus is nothing for high level characters

It is an inherent bonus. The published rule books have to worry about word count to keep cost down and the size of the books manageable. To do so Paizo will only put something in one place. The websites copy the text from the published rule books so inherit the same limitations.
A GM is of course free to change this, but at that point it becomes a house rule.

It should be an "Artifact" bonus considering it was granted by an artifact.
Yes, I am aware there is no such thing as an artifact bonus in Pathfinder.
Nonetheless, it should be a bonus that stacks with Inherent and Enhancement bonuses. As Bjorn reasoned because to high level characters who probably have had exposure to magic items that grant inherent bonuses (manuals and tomes), a +2 inherent bonus doesn't really mean much.

if you look at the table on the same page, it says inherent bonus.

That, however, would fall within a house rule. Since this thread was posted in the "Rules Question", then what really is important is RAW and RAI, so an inherent bonus as the others pointed out.

... the short description in the table says inherent bonus. ...
it is clear on reading you already know the answer but wistfully want it to be something else.
Minor Artifact: Deck of Many Things Slot[none]; Price —
see the table (scroll down); Plaque: Star | Tarot: XVII. The Star | Playing: Jack of diamonds | Summary: Immediately gain a +2 inherent bonus to one ability score.
see bonus types which is missing "untyped". Why it is Art and not a technical work
Age is untyped in RAW, see Vital Statistics and Age Resistance:T6.

No kidding.

Duh.
I didn't see anywhere where I couldn't post my opinion of what it *should* be instead of what it is.
Thank you very much.
