Can't I create a Cleric with access to four domains?

Rules Questions

The recipe seems simple:

1. Create a regular, vanilla cleric, worshiping Pulura
2. Give him access to 3 levels of Stargazer
3. Give him access to the Exalted Prestige Class

Wouldn't that do it?

The Exchange

Yes.

But bear in mind that while Stargazer levels stack with cleric levels for determining the domain abilities and their effects, Exalted levels do not. If you are a cleric 5/Exalted 5/Stargazer 3 the domain you chose from the exalted is only treated as having 8 cleric levels (5 from exalted and 3 from Stargazer). The cleric domains and the Stars subdomain would also be treated as level 8 (5 from cleric and 3 from Stargazer). Only really an issue if you have domain powers that increase in effectiveness as your level increases.

I guess you could take a level of druid if you wanted to tack on another domain. I’m not sure that having these extra domains is worth the trouble though.

Oh sure, I'm aware of that. Pulura has pretty crappy boons so I'm not saying it's worth it anyway, but it can be done.

You might try the Separatist archetype for the cleric if you aren't satisfied with Pulura's domains. It'll let you pick up at least one 'useful' domain outside of her usual list, though there are some useful (sub)domains in her list. To a lesser degree, the Varisian Pilgrim archetype can be used with Pulura, replacing the 8th level of power of domain you have no use for.

Would it be out of line to suggest the Priest class from Kobold Press? They get three domains to start with, more spell casting, no armor proficiency though. From there, it should be easy to add another domain.
I like the concept of the Priest as compared to the Cleric too! Don't forget the Warpriest and Paladin neither.
