Beer etc: Bottle, Can, or Plastic?

I may start a firestorm (I'm known for being the kid poking the bear with a stick) but what do you think is better? There are practical, scientific, and aesthetic concerns.

Coke cans statisfy in a way little else does.

Glass for taste and aesthetics, and safer around sharp things.
Cans don't shatter into dangerous bits if shocked too hard, weigh less and are generally more convenient.
Plastic is hard to find around these parts. Safest method of conveying and screw tops are nice if you don't feel like finishing the beer in a reasonable amount of time. Shame about the flavor.

My preference? Pint glass. Or a ceramic beer stein if I want to pretend that I'm a Viking.

Failing that... bottle, I guess.
