When it comes to applying poison on someone, does the weapon in question have to be a slashing or piercing weapon?

Silver Crusade

I'm asking in regards to the eldritch poisoner alchemists arcanotoxin. Cause right now I'm flip-flopping between whether envenom or contact poison would be better to utilize the poison.

Right now I'm leaning towards contact poison, but i wanna weigh all my options first.

No. The general rules on exposure to poisons make no mention of the weapon type needed to deliver poisons. Injury (and contact) poisons can be used with any weapon, it seems.

PERFECT!

To be honest I would have assumed it was limited to piercing or slashing, but seeing as how poisons are (generally) a poor choice anyways making injury poison be limited to weapons not including bludgeoning just feels unnecessary.

Contact poisons should be fine regardless. Injury poisons don't specify a restriction, so again any weapon type should work.

Agreed, poisons in pathfinder are horribly weak. injury poisons will work with any weapon that causes lethal damage.
