(Worth noting that the OP themselves has suggested it might be better for the thread to be derailed into silliness, especially since the mods aren't about.)

I mean, unless someone wants to donate, oh, 150 gp in onyx for my horse? It'll be more resistant to bludgeoning afterwards.

Anyway.

If there are people that are interested in "dark" or "mature themed" subject matter for the game then there is always the early material from Paizo as well as a trove of stuff for earlier versions of D&D included in modules and issues of Dungeon and Dragon magazines. There should be enough in all that to keep most games busy for months if not years.

Not sure if this will reach anyone through the current arguments and I know it isn't what is wanted (Paizo to continue what they had been doing and/or create new APs on the subject) but at least there is something there for you to brainstorm off of if not lift wholesale.

RD was not responding to me and I haven't said anything of the sort till now (due to other threads) in this thread specifically cause of RD's post, so kinda can't claim my future post caused his past post.

Multiple Paizo staff and moderators have explicitly stated that they want people to stop arguing against their decision on these forums. The distinction between arguing against the decision because you are pro-slavery and arguing against the decision for whatever obscure reasons that aren't pro-slavery is irrelevant at this point.

If you don't support Paizo's decision to stop writing about slavery, please respect the instructions given by Paizo that crusading against it or questioning it in any way is no longer welcome on these forums. Go rail against it on reddit or to your personal friends or wherever else.

Don't expect those of us who support Paizo's decision to give you the benefit of the doubt about whether you are racist or not when you are acting in bad faith by defying instructions from those who run these forums.

I think most people who are against the official stance have made peace with it already. Almost all.the discussion is fueled by statements like yours concerning our moral character.

I've already stated that if Paizo does not feel they can do slavery the right way (whether through technical ability or desire of any writer) the least bad option is to not do it. From my point of view the discussion about how Paizo should handle things is solved and would happily say to anyone still asking for it to be content with the fact that the ship has sailed for now. In the same vein that I've said the same to people who have hanged around being angry about any aspect of any media they disagree with. Say your piece, decide whether it effects your enjoyment enough to no longer support the product or not and then move on. I think this is reasonable and really the only point of contention on that is how long the say your piece phase should last.

The ongoing conversation is now fueled, at least from my pov, not by a desire to shift Paizos publishing stance (and in all the conversation I've seen, the use of the word demand seems hyperbolic. There hasn't been a call of mass campaigns or boycotting that would be needed to elevate a few posters desires to demands) but rather to a meta conversation about how there is an assumption of the worst in people's desires.

Insinuate a person is something horrible, they will defend themselves and keep the thread going. This will keep happening until the thread is closed.

Before they recently started handing out permanent suspensions to transphobes, myself and other trans people where literally fleeing the forums because it was so unsafe here.

I've locked the thread until moderation staff can return from the holidays. I'm going to copy and paste something I said in a very similar thread from a few days ago.

I'd like to stop seeing the mindset that it's okay to post unproductive or incendiary content so long as you do so during off-hours, weekends, or holidays, that this is the window to get your shots off before they're deleted when moderators come back into the office (at which point they need to filter through an even longer list of posts than they would have otherwise). These kinds of posts harm the health of the community and are against the guidelines regardless of when they are posted, and I'd hope that everyone here is invested enough in the health of this game and hobby we all enjoy to simply step away from the keyboard.

The holidays can be a busy time for many of us, and this can make tensions run high. As we approach our second New Years in the pandemic, I'd like to ask everyone to try and treat each other with compassion.
