Need help picking out +1 or +2 weapon ability

Advice

I have a +2 Adaptive Long Bow and am taking the fighterd Warrior Spirit feature and would like to know some good abilities to add to my bow

Since you can choose each time, it’s tough to beat Bane (whatever you’re fighting).

Just for the sake of ease: BANE (LINK)

I have an Occultist who spontaneously uses a Bane weapon all the time. It gets a bot repetetive, so to add some flavour (and as a potential balancing factor) I've started using the RUNEFORGED enchantment in place of Bane whenever possible. It's basically another flavour of Bane, but it costs +2 instead of +1 (which makes it slightly less powerful as an offensive buff) and the various side-benefits are useful if not game-breaking.

If you want more variety, or if your GM thinks a floating Bane enchantment is too powerful ask if they's consider Runeforged instead

(And we just ignored most of the stuff in the top half ablut sin magic. It was already a way to slightly nerf my character so the GM thought it was a fun and flavourful way to redo Bane.)

Negate most miss chances for a +1 cost? Yes, please.

If you are in a good-aligned party, and face mostly evil foes: Holy, https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/magic-weapons/magic-weapon-special-abi lities/holy/

2d6 vs. most of what you fight? Not bad for a +2 bonus.

RE: Seeking

This special ability can only be placed on ranged weapons

Scarab Sages

This one is Melee only, but if your GM allows the Training enhancement, that's another one that basically lets Warrior Spirit become Martial Flexibility.

Ghost Touch and Merciful are both useful at times, though you might just have a stack of ghost salt arrows.

As Ghostwheel said, Holy is a good catchall, if you're pretty sure the targets are evil, but you don't want to wait for them to be identified. But if you can identify it, the +2 enhancement and 2d6 damage from Bane for a lower cost is still the more optimal choice. It does get to be repetitive as MrCharisma said.

if you are getting (or already got) the dueling gloves that increase your weapon training by one. i would offer that you get the Beaming ability (+1).

it would give you X (1 per weapon bonus, when 1st activated) flying orbs that follow you around and each add a, free action, 10th caster level, searing light spell to your normal bow attacks. it doesn't even need to be the target you shoot arrows at!

Easily one of the most powerful uses is Training, which among other things lets you get temporary training in skills (the AWT feat -> Versatile Training) or pseudo-spellcasting (AWT feat -> Item Mastery AWT option -> (e.g.) Flight Mastery).

Other notable options: Bane, Holy, Brilliant Energy, Phase Locking, Glitterwake, Cyclonic, Seeking, and the various elemental enchant (when fighting something with regeneration or a golem).

Ghost Touch can only be placed on melee weapons and ammunition... but you might get around that by using Training for Ghostslayer.

Huh? Training is not melee only.

Ah, you are correct on both. Swap my comments, then. :) For some reason, I didn't spot Training on the ranged list at first. Just forgot Ghost Touch was melee only. I'm rusty. There hasn't been much 1E going on lately.

Ghost Touch is easily solved with gold and ghost salts, so that one is less likely to be necessary, anyway.
