Hey Everyone...
Ok I am in a gestalt evil game and I am playing a dhampir necromancer. The whole point of the game is to try and take over the world. We are currently lvl 6 in the shackles and trying to lay low and work towards getting a ship of our own so we can go where ever we want. I am trying to plan long term and will be taking Vile/Undead Leadership at lvl 7. Now what I am looking for is someone that can take over command of a bunch of undead if i go down and maybe someone that can make stuff... i have a part 2 of the question coming up. the only thing i dont want is for my minion to be a better necro than me. i am a wizard/dread necro (i can provide link to show the class)
So i guess my requirements are:
-Not as adept as me in undead control
-Able to craft things (possibly golems)
-Try to keep it paizo only.. gm doesnt like 3rd party
Is your GM asking for design considerations for making your NPC cohort?
Or is the GM allowing you to design [and presumably control] your cohort like a 2nd character?
Either way, a Gravewalker Witch could do nicely. You could build her to focus on other things besides necromancy, but obviously she will still be more than capable as your substitute teacher.
A Dirge Bard (I love Bards) can really add an extra dynamic to the parade... however they don't really come into their own until 10+ levels... which may or may not fit into your schedule.
An AntiPaladin of Urgathoa? AntiPaladin 11/Agent of the Grave 5, with Deific Obedience Urgathoa for the 2nd Exalted boon (Bolstering Channel), and the Bolster Undead feat can be both a champion and a commander.
For context.. my GM is my girlfriend. We are allowed to control our cohorts as we please. they are intended to be backups if our mains die, but they are still going to be cohorts none the less.
I was thinking dirge bard and antipally.. but wasnt sure which route i should go.. and as for the gravewalker what would you gestalt her with?
Now what I am looking for is someone that can take over command of a bunch of undead if i go downIn what sense? As in literally cast Command Undead on mindless undead or use the Command Undead feat to get them in a control pool?
Both? I will eventually be able to control 5HD+Cha per caster lvl after lvl 8 so i need someone to be able to take over lol
I would probably gestalt a Gravewalker Witch with an Ectoplasm-Reanimator Alchemist... 3/4 BAB, all good saves, plenty of skills on top of being fully Intelligence-based, and practically endless possibilities both in and out of combat. Could make her a Ratfolk and stack Plague Bringer on top of Ectoplasm Master and Reanimator, if one so desired.
