I’ve GMed online via Roll20 Iron Kingdoms rpg, Savage World of Flash Gordon rpg, Forbidden Lands rpg, Conan 2d20; and played dnd 2e, 3e, shadowrun, achtung catulu, and others, I’m sure.
As far as Pathfinder 2e goes, Black Dragon Gaming’s (youtube channel) Dragon Empires playlist is what pushed me to pick up P2 (having heard P1 had a steep level entry. I am liking the rules system but have yet to play it.
My main problem is really in the availability of games online. Unfortunately, my FLGS is not friendly and open to me being there. I didn’t cause any problems, I was just told that I am not wanted there. I have bad eyes, even with corrective lenses, and no one said anything to me except the shouted-out “we don’t want you here”, so I am not really sure, but I think someone with whom I had an issue in college attends the LFGS, and the store-goers disassociated with me b/c they were that person’s friend first. It’s frustrating because I see some of those people at my gym.
I am very much a scenario- or adventure-based pick-up-and-play GM and player that can never find games to play other than those scheduled far in advance that are campaign-based, or games I GM.
I understand pathfinder has Society scenarios, but I must not know where to look to find those; I never see any pick-up-and-play pathfinder 2e scenarios listed on Roll20. In discord, I also cannot find any such games - everything seems to be by appointment.
Am I missing something? Are pick up games something alien to Pathfinder? Can pathfinder society games be run officially online? Help me pathfinder society, you’re my only hope.
Thanks,
Randall

There are also play by post games you can join. Look in the Online Campaigns section of the forums.
That being said, you should be a little more introspective as to why people don't want you in the games. Figure out why they don't like you, and be honest with yourself.
If you have an annoying habit that carries over online, what happened at the not-so-F LGS will happen again and again on Discord or on the forums.
To be clear, there's no need to reply in this thread and insist you have no idea why. If you really, truly don't, take someone out to lunch on the condition he tells you why he hates you. Free lunch and he gets to tell you off, you'll definitely get his unfiltered opinion.

One person shouting hostile and rude things is not at all the same as the store owners not wanting you there.
I'd suggest you ask the owner (or senior manager) to help you understand how to feel welcome there. If they say, "but you ARE welcome", then talk about the specific experience you had that made you feel unwelcome. If there was more than one incident, bring up all of them.
It might be that the hostile person will find themselves 'not welcome', not you.
GMs are in short supply and most venues want to encourage people who are willing to do that work. If they say that you have habits or attitudes that cause friction, ask for honest advice about what you need to change.
PM me if you want more explicit advice about how to handle an uncomfortable conversation.

I know of several people looking for games on discord.gg/pathfinder, but normally it's campaigns rather than oneshots. Could be more of those next week due to the APG class playtest however, quite a few GMs are mentioning similar ideas.
It could be a great way to find players as well - GMs are always hard to find, and if you intend to jump into the fray you'll find many willing to join and help. The issue with pick-up-and-play style online is, I'm thinking, that importing characters online may take a little bit (and you have to stop people from joining once you're full). Different model, but perhaps it could be made to work.
