Have you ever tried to play a summoned creature as the PC? I was inspired by the character of Loke of the Anime Fairy Tail, he is essentially a summoned creature whose summoner has died yet who was managed to stay on this plane through his own power. So how would you go about playing this - essentially an Eidolon without a Summoner? (or I suppose a Phantom without a spiritualist would also work) I think that it would be a very interesting character, playing someone who was mechanically designed to function as a lesser, a servant, 1 half of a whole.

I had a player RP as the 'dragon' (fire elemental quadruped subtype with wings) on an unchained summoner, and the summoner was merely a poor fool that was terrified of the dragon and was 'forced' to do its bidding. In combat the summoner would either buff the dragon or flee.
The one time the summoner had to desummon the dragon so the party would survive (needed to use the SM SLA for some healing or something, I forget), when the summoner resummoned the dragon, the player had the dragon kill his summoner for daring to banish the dragon. Since it wasn't technically PvP(this was in PFS)... I just made sure he marked down the raise dead on the chronicle. And maybe the reason, I forget.

I have a character in my archives Reanimated Medium/Summoner that I toyed with the idea of having the Eidolon as the main character, even when the Eidolon's form is destroyed or banished. I havent had too much time to develop the idea very far but feel free to look through it and expand on it.

A PC is CR=Level, and bumping from NPC wealth to PC wealth is +1 CR, so you could use an Unfettered Eidolon of a CR 1 less than the level PC you would have, and their CR would be bumped up to what it should be by having PC wealth.
