Horizon Walker and Barbarian

Rules Questions

Playing a Kobold Barbarian. A Barbarian suffers from Exhuastion and or Fatigue after Raging. Now Terrain Dominance of Dessert terrain I gain immunity to both. The question is then after raging I suffer no penalty or downtime? My only limit would then be rounds per day I can rage, correct?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

That's correct, with Terrain Dominance you become immune to Fatigue and Exhaustion regardless of whether you're in Desert terrain or not. With the 3 levels of Horizon Walker, you lose 6 rounds of Rage per day, but you could easily make this up with the Extra Rage Feat (+6 rounds of Rage per day), and you could take Berserker of the Society Trait for +3 rounds of Rage. I would recommend getting a Torc of Bloody Rage because it's super cheap and slotless.

You probably want to trade out more than 3 levels of Barbarian just so your last barbarian ability gained isn't Tireless Rage. Kinda a painful trade off given you dipped to get that ability earlier anyway.

If i recall there are easier ways to get immunity to fatigue. Probably quite a few threads around for it if youre willing to google. i think theres an ioun stone and rage power combo or something like that so you need not detour 3 levels ffom barbarian'ing.

Deific Obedience/Diverse Obedience to Barzahk gets Terrain Dominance as the 3rd Evangelist boon... but that doesn't happen until 18... after you already have Tireless Rage. Lol.

Yeah, the Flawed Scarlet and Green Cabochon Ioun Stone causes Fatigue to become Sickened and Exhausted to become Nauseated, and then the Rage Power Internal Fortitude grants immunity to Sickened & Nauseate. So basically, whenever you drop your Rage, you become Sickened, and then you re-enter Rage and become immune to the Sickened condition.

You can get Internal Fortitude with Rage Power lvl 8, and the flawed version of the Ioun Stone you can pick up for 8,000gp.

That's the one.

Combine that with the Drunken Brute archetype and you can just be in a constant state of puking and rallying.
