Needing help making a Exploiter / Pact Wizard for a 2 player campaign

Advice

Hello Adventurers, i hope everyone is doing well.

Im going to start a game with a friend and we decided in making a Cleric and a Wizard, since the DM is open with everything and is doing hard encounters, i decided to make a Human Exploiter/Pact Wizard with a level in Sorcerer for some bloodline.

So, i have some questions:

1* How should i put my points: INT for sure, DEX and CON, but what about WIS and CHA? Since im getting a level in sorcerer how much should i put on CHA?

2* At which level should i dip in Sorcerer?

3* What feats should i get for a focus in Illusion spells?

4* Can i choose crossblooded Sorcerer?/ Should i choose it?

That's it for now, i really appreciate it if you guys can help me build this character. English is not my first language, so im sorry if i made some mistakes.

Thanks.

Why would you dip sorcerer if you are planning to focus on Illusions?

Probably 11 Cha (if you go with the sorc level)/ 12 wis. Hard to say what level to dip Sorcerer without knowing why you are dipping, answer is probably ‘never’.

I would not dip Sorcerer, just go full Wizard. Cha is usually a dump stat for Wizards, so I would put that at 7 or 8. And either make your Illusions' DC impossible to resist or focus on Conjuration (Summoning). Having strong Summons/Illusions to soak up damage and crowd control is important for a small party.

I was thinking about the exploit Bloodline Development for the sorcerer level, is it not worth it getting the effects of Arcana bloodline for example?

that’s fine, just ‘taking a level of sorcerer’ and ‘taking the Bloodline Development Exploit’ are very different things. By all means, take the Exploit if it makes sense.

But actually taking a full level in a different class is very hard on casters and is generally a bad idea.

Unless you have a very specific archetype/Bloodline combination, I doubt the dip is worth it.

Arcane Bloodline has a bunch of stuff related to applying metamagic without increasing casting time... which does absolutely nothing for a Wizard.

Edritch Scrapper gets Martial Flexibility, Tattooed Sorcerer gets the Varisian Tattoo feat, Crossblooded gets you two Bloodlines, False Priest gets you False Focus...

Gotta make the dip worth it if you are going to do it. At least an Arcanist could Consume the spell slots you pick up with your dip... could be a School Savant Arcanist... doesn't get you the Pact Wizard/Oracle stuff, though.

Let's say i choose Crossblooded Psychic/Shadow with Bloodline Development.

* Do i get to benefit from both bloodlines, like Microcosm spell and shades or i only advance on one bloodline and get only the bloodline powers and not the rest os benefits.

Thanks for the help guys.

Crossblooded is a Sorcerer archetype, not a Bloodline. You can only choose one Bloodline with Bloodline Development.

Thanks for the clarification.

I guess i will discard the sorcerer levels and go pure wizard.

What are good spells for Magical Lineage and wayang spellhunter?

Thanks.

Cold Ice Strike...
6th level spell, maxes out at 15D6 cold damage, and casts AS A SWIFT ACTION...

As of Chronicle of Legends, which is kind of like saying ‘starting when Pathfinder ended’,

Fireball, because Magic Tricks.

Crossblooded is a Sorcerer archetype, not a Bloodline. You can only choose one Bloodline with Bloodline Development.

Bloodline Development changes if you have an existing bloodline (even if it's archetyped):

Quote:
If the arcanist already has a bloodline (or gains one later), taking this exploit instead allows her arcanist levels to stack with the levels of the class that granted her access to the bloodline when determining the powers and abilities of her bloodline.

yeah, if he was assuming one level crossblooded shadow/psychic sorcerer + arcanist levels with bloodline development, not really sure how all that would work.

Hey guys i was looking at the Metamixing Exploit and i can't put my finger on it and see the use of it for a Wizard, Anybody care do explain the use?

Thanks!

It's not useful for wizards because Metamixing interacts with spontaneous casting.

If your wizard somehow has some spells that can be spontaneous-substituted by means other than Preferred Spell, then Metamixing could work with those.
