Dragon rounds might actually better suited for alchemical ammunition than a whole gun, plus it would be neat imo for alchemists to be able to make special ammo with their reagents

Dragon pistol was the 1h shotgun weapon. Dragon ammo was separate, iirc.

I'm okay with both coming back, I'm just not sure what the die size is for a dragon pistol.

Ammunition sounds for like a viable new specialisation for an alchemist
Or 1 or 2 feats that supplement a gun-using bomber

If guns and gears gives my back my explosive ammunition, I'm gonna be a happy alchemist.

A dragon pistol though would almost certainly be a d4 fire weapon with scatter. The game tends to rate energy damage as slightly better than physical damage, and 1 handed is a hell of a boon for a ranged weapon. On top of that, the strongest 1 handed ranged weapon does has a d6 damage die, so this would be in line with something like that
