Are there any Int Cleric archetypes?

Rules Questions

Are there any int cleric archetypes? I tried looking for one, but I didn't find anything.

I'm looking for a cleric archetype that uses Int instead of Wis for casting spells. If the archetype comes across a little bookish, then that is a plus.

no

It's not a Cleric archetype, but the LIVING GRIMOIRE Inquisitor uses INT instead of WIS for casting (and gets a holy book).

Some of the Razmiran priests?
- not a cleric archetype either but fits the bill theme-wise -

A shaman with the lore spirit (main or wandering) and the arcane enlightenment hex gets a few spells limited in level by their Int.

Off the top of my head I can only think of one cleric archetype changing the casting ability, and it's for Charisma. So a real cleric is probably not going to be able to do it.
Some other faith powered class could (like the Inquisitor, as Mr Charisma pointed out), if that's really what you're looking for.

But depending on why you want an Int Cleric, there might be ways. Especially if you're simply looking for more skill points or better knowledge checks.
Some archetypes can help with that, and they tend to fit the "religious scholar" bill.

5 people marked this as a favorite.

Here is an overview of all spellcasters in the game sorted by type and key ability score.

I'm playing with character designs at the moment. Making some NPCs and what not. I figured since there is a sorcerer archetype that can use Int, then why can't there be one for the cleric. I'm planing making one of them a Mystic Theurge (cleric/wizard) so being able to rely on one ability score would be handy.

Thanks for the feedback thus far.
