A quick question - does my 1st level Druid know ALL the spells from the Primal list of spells and I just choose which spells I want to prepare each day according to my spell slots (4 cantrips and 2 1st level spells in case of the 1st level Druid) or does he have a limited selection to begin with and then I also have to take into account available spell slots?

As a baseline, you have access to all common druid spells by default and can choose which to memorize each day.
There is a small bit in the rules that limits you to spells from the Core Rulebook. Check with your GM to see what exactly is available to you. My GM waived that restriction completely.
Asking your GM is a good idea in general. Some GMs ignore rarity completely, giving you free access to uncommon and rare spells.
If you do follow the CRB rule, you would use the same Learn A Spell exploration activity that wizards use to gain spells from outside of the CRB or Uncommon/Rare spells you gain an opportunity to learn, even without a physical spwllbook to keep them in.
5 Cantrips like everyone else not 4. That has been clarified in errata.
