Hey guys, I'm a level 8 NG cleric of Iomedae and just died, not that glorious tbh. Our mage grilled me with a fireball to get rid of a swarm and he really rolled well. the aboleth which hit me before wasnt good either...
Now I'm wondering if the church of Iomedae even supports resurrection. It's quite simple to be resurrected if you follow the basic pathfinder rules. My DM would make it a lot harder to get everything you need for the spell, but I'm not sure if it would be "iomedaes" way.
I did mostly good and rightous, saved the innocent, tried my best to support and keep my teammates safe, was always at the front in battles and so on...
the mage is a supporter of pharasma, would she be willing to let a soul go?
so what do you think?

I don't believe Iomedae has anything against resurrection and probably wouldn't oppose one of her faithful 'returning to the fight' as long as you provide the necessary components (though the church of Iomedae may 'loan' your party the components for a faithful cleric as long as you promise to pay them back ASAP).
Beyond that, your GM's views resurrection come into play:
- If played RAW, it's just a matter of finding someone to cast the spell (and getting the necessary material components, of course).
- Some GMs don't like the 'easy return from the dead' and have their own requirements / variations. This is another discussion entirely.

IMO Iomedae should have an interest in your cleric to continue fighting for good and right. She isn't responsible for the dead, but she might push worshippers or minions to assist your cleric.
Pharasma usually puts adventurer souls into Spire's Edge, where they wait to be resurrected. The fact that the mage is a worshipper of her doesn't change anything IMO.
Finally there is also the out-of-game consideration whether the player (read: you) wants to continue with the character who died. It sounds like you want.
