Armor for muticlassing

Rules Questions

I have a PC wanting to muticlass. Witch if 1st level and she want to add a Druid level. Since Witches are not proficient with armor and Druid can use light, is her only penalty for where armor on the wiche's somatic spells plus normal non-proficiency penalties?

If at least one of your classes is proficient in the armor, you are proficient in it. Once you are a Witch/Druid, you just suffer the Arcane Spell Failure for the Witch spells with Somatic components, as long as you stick with Druid-approved armor.

I figured thats all ot was, just looking to clarify.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Silken Ceremonial Armor has a 0% Spell Failure chance, as does an Armored Kilt. I haven't seen any rules for if wearing an Armored Kilt and Silken Ceremonial Armor will create a positive Spell Failure Chance.

If your Armor is made of either Mithril or Darkleaf Cloth, the Arcane Spell Failure chance foes down by 10%. There is a 5% minimum for the 'Cloth, but not for the Mithril. Of course, your Druid won't be wearing Mithril anyway.

There is a Feat: Arcane Armor Training. As a Swift Action, you can lower the Arcane Spell Failure by 10%.
