There should be a level 1 evolution that allows my Eidolon to gain every ancestral feat my summoner takes, or gains racial flavor.

Reason I say this.. from an RP perspective, a dhampir summoner should definitely have an Eidolon that matches his vampiric nature, having undead traits such as healing from harm and being hurt from heal.

An orc summoner should definitely have an Eidolon that is a little more savage.

An elf summoner should definitely have a more nature like Eidolon. Same with a gnome summoner. This would give them a bit of racial ancestral flavor and you don't get too many ancestral feats in the first place.

So having an evolution that takes on the racial traits of your race and allows them to have the ancestral feats you pick up as well would be pretty cool imo.

That seems like a specific eidolon rather than a general one to me. At least, that's what PF1 did. I wouldn't really expect a dhampir to have a vampiric angel eidolon, but if they had an ancestral eidolon, picking up a dhampir feat would make sense.

I can quite see a fallen angel being an Eidolon of a dhampir.

that could be interesting for a phantom eidolon

That'd make them a fiend though most likely.

That being said I'd be totally on board with an ancestor eidolon type. I'm hoping for a lot of cribbing from oracle mysteries and sorcerer bloodlines for future eidolons. Genies, cosmic horrors, shadows, and so on.
