I'm personally not a dark mode fan but I'm all for the forums having the option for those who are!

I installed the Stylus add-on, but I have no idea how to apply a dark mode to the forums :x
Edit: Nevermind, the "styles" site was just taking forever to load.

They are referring to a web browser plugin.
If anyone is trying this, make sure you get Stylus and not Stylish ... the latter has a record of snooping on your browser history and has a history of being banned from the chrome store for it. Due to "aggressive" SEO by Stylish it's often "easy" to install the wrong one.
Glad you mentioned it was a browser plugin. Wasn't sure what that was referring to at first, with only a hopeful guess that it was a plugin, lol.

EDIT: WOW, it worked but boy is it slow as dirt and needed a few retries to activate.
EDIT2: And I can see which threads I've read now!!! An unexpected win for the colorblind person! ;)

Same! Couldn't believe how slow it loaded, and I honestly had no idea the forum had a different color shade for read topics, or accessed links in general! Really glad I downloaded it!
