Is there anything stopping a witch from butchering and eating their familiar each day to provide sustenance during times of food/water scarcity?

Their Patron getting mad?

Loss of a Final Sacrifice target?

Providing that familiars are created. Something tells me that killing one will simply makes it's body disappear completely.

I suppose it depends on the patron. If it's Thor, then not eating your goat familiar every night might be an insult.

"You ride a cow?!"
"Um...kinda? It keeps my village fed for a week until a new cow comes."
"!!!"

I guess technically a horse is the best bet for now.
I mean, which noble Champion wouldn't sacrifice their mount to save so many lives?

And now there are Beastmasters that could cycle through several meaty friends! (okay, maybe not "friends")
Butcher Lore indeed, perhaps Tanning Lore for an ally.
"You have no raw materials."
"Oh yes, yes we do."

You could even go Wortwitch if you're a vegetarian.

But remember not to break any of its bones! ;)

Threads like this are the reason why Paizo made the "Divine intervention" mechanic. Sometimes, a GM just needs to smite a player.
