Missing abilities for components / systems?

Mech

Lower Limbs - Treaded
Being able to ignore difficult terrain

Weapons - Battle Staff
Being considered as wielding two weapons, essentially a double weapon

Weapons - any energy melee weapon (Plasma Sword, Flame Doshko, etc)
Having the powered special quality, like their regular counterparts

Why would treads make you *less* susceptible to difficult terrain than legs, rather than more? Treads don't let you step over, or hop over, obstacles.

Pretty sure tanks don't get stuck in difficult terrains as much as wheeled vehicles.

If that's something your worried about, sounds like the hoverpad is the perfect choice for you.

As much as *wheeled* vehicles. You aren't comparing with wheels, but with *legs*.

You'll be laughing less when your legged mech trips over a root, gets stuck in mud and lose its footing in sandy terrain :P

1 person marked this as a favorite.

The Thundergauntlet lists an ability when using two such, but each thundergauntlet takes two (!) upper limb slots. Can you even get two separate sets of upper limbs on a mech?

While on the subject of limbs, the hoverpad replaces lower limbs. Does it give non-fliers a 10' fly speed, or does it give them nothing at all? It's not clear to me.

The easiest thundergauntlet solution would be to revise them to taking up 1 upper limb slot each (which makes sense for a gauntlet), but the question remains - are there kasatha or skittermander-styled mechs, and if not why not?

Sovereign Court

I would imagine there may be auxiliary options that allow for an extra upper limb set. That or sets that cost more but allow more limbs/slots.
