Not concerned with mechanical benefits, purely connections to story and theme.
A friend had a blast going through as a cleric of Sun Wukong, though I doubt there were any plot connections as written (some thematic to be sure) in the books themselves.
Does anyone who’s GMed or read this have any suggestions?

The adventure path is about Aroden's deeds and legacy, so a worshiper of Iomedae or Milani would find a lot to work with. Gozreh has ties to the main plot and there's probably one or two other gods that would be relevant, but I've only read through the first two volumes so dar.

I would say Gozreh probably has the most going for them in terms of the story. Gozreh worshippers play an explicit part in the first volume, and the whole theme of environmental decay is a perfect fit to get a Gozren cleric motivated to get involved.
