Greatsword Battler and Pounce

Rules Questions

The Greatsword Battler (aka Gorum's Swordmanship) divine fighting technique reads:

" If you have the Vital Strike feat, you can apply its effect to an attack you make with a greatsword at the end of a charge."

If I use pounce and use my first attack to make a sunder combat maneuver, can I make the Vital Strike from Greatsword Battler on one of the other attacks?

In the case of RAGELANCEPOUNCE, the dev's argument was that you only get the bonus damage on your first attack because of the momentum, so I assume a similar idea would be applicable here. But I have no idea how to deal with it in this case since sunder maneuvers are just attack rolls with extra steps.

The reason is, I want to Spell Sunder on the first attack and then Vital Strike Furious Finish on the second attack. But since Furious Finish ends your rage, you would need to spend an extra rage round for Spell Sunder..

I don't think its the same tbh. RAW it works. Each iterative is an attack with a greatsword at the end of a charge. RAI its probably closer to the lance ruling.

Momentum doesn't really play into it with vital strike, you can use it from a standstill.

edit: in fact they specifically in that FAQ state that the only reason it doesn't say first attack was because there was no way to get pounce when the CRB was printed. That indicates if they meant for a thing to mean first attack, they'd specify. Similarly to how they specified with the startoss feat chain.

I'm not sure what the correct answer is here.

Probably should just ask your GM if they want to allow you to use pounce (with charge) and let Greatsword Battler apply to the multiple attacks you will get to make.

Vital Strike blows. Why not let them use it with every attack on a Pounce?

They went through the effort to acquire Poumce. No small investment.

They begrudgingly took Vital Strike despite knowing how lame it generally is.

They went through the necessary hoops to have Gorum's Divine Fighting Technique.

Let them play with what they've paid for!
