If you're using perform (dance) in battle then either you're a bard or you're using something from Path of War. Haste by L8 suggests you're at least a 6-level spellcaster which fits with bard well enough, as does the buffing. Skalds would fit but for some obscure reason they don't do dance.
Bards don't normally get proficiency with the greataxe but that's easy, just play a half-orc. The arcane duelist archetype helps with melee, or a thundercaller might be more metal if that's the image you're going with.

Yeah, when I think of buffs, Performance and Dance, I usually think Bard, but when I think Bard, I usually do not think Great Axe.
Can I think of any alternatives?
There is the Gladiator Fighter Archetype. They can turn any weapon into a Performance weapon, giving you a +2 on any Combat Performance Check. You can make Combat Performance checks during combats where there are a lot of people there that are not participating actively in the combat (an audience), and I guess this at the GM's discretion.
There is the Dazzling Display Feat, which lets you use Intimidate on everyone within 30'.
There is the Bladed Scarf Dancer Magus, but that is for Bladed Scarf, not for Great Axe.
There is the Skald Class, a Hybrid Barbarian/Bard. That has a lot of performance, a lot of self-buffing, and Great Axe makes sense for a Skald. The problem with Skald is that it specifies that their Bardic Performance has to be Oratory or Singing. For some reason, you can't dance to the Raging Song. Maybe your GM would allow that.
just play a half-orc
There is a Half Orc Feat I've always been turned on by, but never used called Amplified Rage. It is a Teamwork Feat, and when you are raging with allies that have the feat and are also Raging, you all get an extra +4 Strength. The thing about a Skald's Raging Song is that your Allies Rage, too. So if you like dipped a level in Cavalier or something, and used the Skald Raging Song, then you and all your allies get an extra +4 Strength, and I think that's sexy.
Wields A Great-Axe
I can't help myself. I have to ask.
Does it have to be a Great Axe?
A Butchering Axe does 3d6, where the Great Axe only does 1d12.
Can it be a Great Hammer? an Earthbreaker? Earthbreakers are also 2 handed Martial weapons, but Earthbreakers do 2-12 instead of 1-12.
I've been playing with the idea of a build for a Halberd, also a 2 handed axe, but also a spear with a hook. It does less Damage than a Great Axe 1d10 instead of 1d12, but a Halberd give you a choice of Piercing or Slashing Damage where a Great Axe only does Slashing, and a Halberd is also a Tripping and a Brace Weapon. Because it's a Pole Arm, you can take Spear Dancing Style Feats, where you can make any Pole Arm both a Reach and Double weapon, the butt-end acting like a Light Mace. So when you get all your Spear Dancing Feats, your Halberd does Piercing, Slashing, and Bludgeoning Damage and is a Double, Reach Brace, Tripping and Finesseable Weapon! You can also apply any Quarterstaff Feats to it. That wouldn't necessarily be using Perform, Dance, but the character would be very dancy.
Just some thoughts.

Instead of the Bladed Scarf Dancer (which is actually called the Kapenia Dancer -- that is why you should use aonprd instead of d20pfsrd), you can use the Kensai archetype of the Magus class. That archetype lets you pick any single martial or exotic melee weapon as your chosen weapon.

aon is more complete and more official, but I find d20pfsrd easier to read, search, and browse. I think the latter calls it Bladed Scarf Dancer for copyright issues.
Personally though, I like "Bladed Scarf Dancer" better than "Kapenia Dancer." It tells me exactly what the class is about as opposed to making some obscure fantasy novel reference I don't care about.

Dervish Dancer (bard) 7th/Fighter or Barbarian 1st
Can use Great Axe
Can use the Perform: Dance skill in and out of combat
Can use their dancing skills to get an extra attack (ala Haste) at 6th
Can cast Arcane Spells and Bards are great for buffs.
Not sure why all the extra stuff above, that seems pretty simple
