I'm starting a new homebrew sci-fi campaign with influences from various sci-fi settings: Starfinder, The Last Parsec, Firefly/Serenity, and Mass Effect.
The PCs are part of a crew belonging to mining/salvage ship - similar to Firefly. An AI rule/controls the ship that was built by the previous owner and bestowed the ship to his former crew (the captain dies in the first episode of the campaign).
The adventure campaign is called Archon of the Galaxy. The ship and AI is called "Archon". Archon is an acronym.
But it doesn't have to be spelled exactly like that.
What I'm looking for is building the acronym. Each letter has a number of different options such as:
A = artificial, automated, Automatic, Access
R = Robotic, R
C = Computer, Communications, Central
N = Network
etc.
But it could be ARCON, ARKON, ARCONN ARKHON Whatever. So long as they refer to "her" as "Archon" when speaking. And the CON of ARCHON ARCON could be CONection.
I'm looking for from the forum-goes is to share some additional ideas for the letters, and an acronym.
Thanks.

A (Automated | Advanced | Artificial | Augmented | Asynchronous)
R (Resource | Response | Relay | Recourse | Relief | Resort| Remedy)
C (Coordination | Command | Custody | Control)
H (Handling | Harnessing | Help)
O (Operations | Oversight | Orchestration)
N (Node | Network | Nexus | Neurosimulacrum)
Yeh, I'm trying to stick with your original spelling, but I imagine there would be other options that you could have fun with. I kind of liked the acronym Arqon.
If you go with it, here are some options:
Arqon
A (Automated | Advanced | Artificial | Augmented | Asynchronous)
R (Resource | Response | Relay | Recourse | Relief | Resort| Remedy)
Q (Quality | Query | Quotient)
O (Operations | Oversight | Orchestration)
N (Node | Network | Nexus | Neurosimulacrum)
or
Arquon
A (Automated | Advanced | Artificial | Asynchronous)
R (Resource | Response | Relay | Recourse | Relief | Resort| Remedy)
Q (Quality | Query | Quotient)
U (Utility | Unified | Unity | Uniform)
O (Operations | Oversight | Orchestration)
N (Node | Network | Nexus | Neurosimulacrum)
| Vo |
Anarchic
Renegade
CONsciousness
Time consider jumping ship :)
Advanced
Real time
Cereberal
Host
Organic
Network
That's no data cable, and it doesn't go there !
Artficial
Reality
Construct
Hospitality
Organisation
Networking
So the previous captain had to cobble together the AI from different code sources. Don't be surprised if ARCHON makes your bed, sorts the kitchen cutlery by atomic weight or invites every sensor contact to morning brunch.

It seems like it is actually supposed to be able to run the ship for the crew, so I'm not positive Remote is the best name.
Resort or Relief Controller might be simple enough. Basically, it can control the ship for the crew when they are otherwise indisposed, be it working on an alternate emergency the ship can't handle, or simply taking a time-out or vacation for a bit.
So either a Relief Pilot or Pilot of Last Resort, or depending on the current biological pilot's dex, perhaps a pilot of first resort.
Hehehe.
Certainly useful for visiting Resort worlds. I believe there is an AP for that. *laugh*

Your point is exactly right. Wow this all great stuff everyone!
Thank you for all the great feedback. Especially yours Loreguard - they've been especially helpful. I like Arqon too BTW.I will drop back by after I zero in on more finalized option and share.
Yes the AI is more of a host information network that is like Mother on Alien the central computer in the show Flash. It CAN navigate, act like Siri/Alexa etc for info and set timers, reminders, adjust music, lighting, etc, and generally provide insight. But these are done usually by the crews commands and direction. She's AI though so she learns and understands and adapts to their preferences and has a personality. She is not "skilled" in the way the crew would be, so she still needs the crew to do real tough tasks - like ship combat etc - most of her stuff would be routines and auto-pilot.
She's mostly there as a GM tool and voice for in-game narrator of sorts.
I'll be starting this in the next couple/three months. I'm finishing up my current Savage Worlds based game of Ghost Ops set in an apocalyptic fantasy future with awakened paranormal, fringe science and unearthly evil. Think - Ghost Recon meets Legion/Dominion (series). Were doing it all via Zoom and Fantasy Grounds while in quarantine. As soon as my buddy redeploys to Afghanistan in a 2 months, we'll stop that and i'll run the sci-fi game via table top for the rest of the buddies still here.

I'm leaning towards:
ADVANCED or AUTOMATED
RESOURCE or RESPONSIVE
COGNITIVE or CEREBRAL
OPERATION
NETWORK
Advanced Resource Cognitive Operation Network
Automated Response and Cognitive Operation Network
Automated Responsive Cerebral Operation Network
OR perhaps:
ARtificial Cognitive Operation Network
That's actually more smooth and flows better me thinks.

Be careful with this approach. I ran several sessions of the Alien RPG and the players relied too heavily on MU/TH/UR for discovering things they should have been investigating for themselves. While an AI like this can be a great tool, it can also be a crutch.

First - thanks for the concern and heads up on that. Testimonials are very good thought candy.
Luckily I'm blessed with very good veteran (aka old fogies) players. We're all in our 40s been around gaming for 2 or 3 decades! They're quite old school and knows how to work around not using so much metagaming like that.
Savage Worlds rules gives a comment in the Research skill that says "Note - this skill only provides clues. It is still up to the player to draw their own conclusions and work out the mystery themselves." It's a nice GM tip to not allow a skill to do all the work.
Second - I bought the Alien RPG - I'm a HUGE fan of Alien series - my fav movie franchise all time. I have read most of it and cannot wait to do something like that. There will be a some "Alien" based content in my sci-fi world - but my players have come to expect a few standard inclusions in any of my games - something xenomorph, horror/terror aspect, and cthulu feeling at some point.
The Sci-Fi game will be using the WOIN (What's Old Is New) campaign rule set. The only reason were using Savage Worlds now vs WOIN is that Fantasy Grounds is very well supported by Savage Worlds and vice versus.
