Trying to help optimize our Dragon Barbarian

Advice

What feats would you recommend for an optomized Dragon Barbarian knowing he's got a Bard to buff him. He's pretty new to the game but would like a powerful character with one thing on his mind - destroying his enemy's and dealing massive damage. He cares not for skills or role playing, his sole mission is to destroy all the things.

Get fighter dedication for aoo and/or brutish shove.

Pick up brutal bully to add more damage to brutish shove.

So, I guess your player doesn't want to use intimidation?

If you just want to beat face, Fighter Dedication isn't necessary.

1. Sudden Charge. Good for getting into the fray and up to distant foes.
2. Second Wind. Good for more drawn out fights where you need to Rage again after getting knocked down.
4. Fast Movement/Swipe. Extra movement is always good, but Swipe is ridiculous if you've got a greataxe/dwarven waraxe. It makes your attacks go from -0/-5/-10 to an effective +1/+1/-10, enemy positioning permitting, and gets even more disgusting once you get the Critical Specialisations at 5th.
6/8. Attack of Opportunity. I shouldn't need to explain why this is good.
6/8. Dragon's Rage Breath. Solid AOE with a STR based DC.
10. Share Rage makes your buddies hit harder too.
12. Dragon's Rage Wings. Flight is always good.
14. Whirlwind Strike. Situational, but a neat tool to have. Really good with a reach weapon.
16. Dragon Transformation/Reckless Abandon. Becoming a dragon is cool. Going into a deeper rage to murder even better is tempting, though.
18. Brutal Critical. Crit bigger.
20. Contagious Rage. You are the Dragonmaster now.

I'd go Fighter Dedication and Double Slice. Use two non-agile weapons and you can make two attacks at +0/-2, both with the full rage damage bonus. Haven't done the math, but I would assume the much higher hit chance of the second attack makes up fo using smaller damage dice compared to a two-handed weapon.

why waste a feat getting fighter dedication for AoO when Barbs can get it normally from their class?

There may be other reasons to get fighter dedication but AoO shouldn't be one of them.

Interesting, which weapon would you recommend for this?

The damage is almost identical.

Because you can get it at lvl 4 with the dedication. Worth it in some cases, when you plan to get some fighter Feats anyway.

So at 6 you can get breath, giants stature, brutal bully or what ever...

Correct no Intimidation for him.

He's currently wielding a greatsword, would the two handed great axe be better?
