I want to be thrown

Rules Questions

I want to make a gnomish druid that is thrown at enemies and wild shapes mid throw via Quick Wild Shape to attack them. But my DM seems to think that is preposterous. Are there any times that mashe this impossible, or that make or possible? I haven't been able to find anything in my searching.

Figure out how much you weigh with all your gear and see how far you can get a strong PC or hired NPC brute to throw you? If you're too heavy, consider Reduce Person to reduce you to Tiny (1-8 lbs) and dispel it mid-flight. There's nothing stopping you rules-wise other than that, I think.

Edit: This doesn't apply per RAW obviously, but it can be used for reference:

Rock Throwing (Ex)

This creature is an accomplished rock thrower and has a +1 racial bonus on attack rolls with thrown rocks. A creature can hurl rocks up to two categories smaller than its size; for example, a Large hill giant can hurl Small rocks. A “rock” is any large, bulky, and relatively regularly shaped object made of any material with a hardness of at least 5. The creature can hurl the rock up to five range increments. The size of the range increment varies with the creature. Damage from a thrown rock is generally twice the creature’s base slam damage plus 1-1/2 times its Strength bonus.

Format: rock throwing (120 ft.); Location: Special Attacks (damage is listed in Ranged attack).

Also of note, Druids get the spell Stone Throwing as a 2nd level spell :)

Take Leadership.

Have your Cohort take 10 levels in Barbarian for the Body Bludgeon Rage Power. And have him take the Two-handed Thrower feat.

Now there is very little anyone can do to stop this from working.

Didn't Colossus and Wolverine have a similar teamwork attack?

Other than what has already been mentioned, of calculating your weight for damage and throwablility... you’d hit a pretty solid road block in the form of needing to interrupt another players action to wild shape mid throw (which would be presumably for a larger size thus more damage on impact). Quick wild shape makes it a swift or move action, but treats your Druid level as lower when doing so... you would need an Immediate Action for what you want to do here.

This sounds more like the Hawkeye/Ant-Man combo than the Fastball Special (Hawkeye shoots an arrow with shrunken Ant-Man on it, Ant-Man grows giant mid-flight and decks the target)

Maybe ready the shape-shift action until you are thrown? Pathfinder doesn't have a lot of support for concurrent actions....

Yeah, you can ready actions based on things that your allies do. Like "once Grog throws me, I want to use a readied action to Wild Shape". Your Initiative order will change, but w/e, you get to do your flying-druid thing :)
