I need to take the Enlarge Spell (Metamagic) feat as a prerequisite. I'd like to get some use out of it since I have to use a feat for it, and it's only a +1 spell level metamagic.
I've not used it much before. Any suggestions on spells to use it on? Any in general are appreciated but this is for a bard specifically.
It could be good on hideous laughter since that is a close range spell that is really good.
Thanks.

HASTE!!!!
the range limit of haste (close) make it hard for casters who see their melee friends rush the enemy to hit them without getting to close to said enemy (casters mostly don't really need haste, it's the full attackers who really shine with it).
also other close range bluffs (enlarge person too? i think)
scorching ray (or in 3.5 i think it's agonizing scorcher?) has close range, but for something that can deal real nice damage per the spell level this one is again great to keep you out of close combat reach

Personally, I think Enlarge Spell is nigh worthless because Reach Spell exists and it's infinitely more useful. I'd recommend asking your GM if he would allow you to substitute Reach Spell for Enlarge Spell because it still fits thematically with the War Weaver.
If he says yes, you can use Reach Spell to make Touch-range spells into Close, Close into Medium, and Medium into Long range. And you can even change Touch Spells into Long Range for a +3 spell level. Basically for each +1 spell level you increase your spell by, it increases the range increment (max: +3 spell level). And you can do a lot with this because you're a spontaneous caster and you just increase your casting time when pumping MM feats. For example, you can make any Cure spells that would normally be Touch range into Close Range for a +1 spell level, or Medium Range for a +2 spell level, or Long Range for a +3 level. Summon Spells are close range, and you can increase those too. Gotta climb the castle walls and need a Distraction? Summon a Crocodile up on the wall 1000ft away.
If he says no, whenever your DM goes to the bathroom put 1d4's outside the door like caltrops until he says yes. :)
