So I got the idea to make a class, and one of the abilities I wanted to give it would to get a few abilities from the universal monster rules page. So, rather than just picking abilities that I think would be cool to have, I wanted to ask what abilities other people liked that they think wouldn't be broken on a PC.
As for what the class is, I planned on calling it shifter, but there's already a class with that name. Having looked through the already existing shifter, I know that it isn't what I wanted, since it relies on shapechanging and has an attachment to druid, neither of which fit into the image of this class I have in my head, which is why I've decided to make a different class rather than an archetype.

Broad overview:
So I am thinking of doing is having a few abilities with this class, the first (and primary) being the use of "slots" that the character can use to manifest certain physical attributes, such as claws, wings, additional limbs, ect. As the character gains levels, they gain access to both more things to manifest as well as more slots to "hold" manifestations, as to have more changes at once.
The other primary ability the class would have is a pool of points (I'm still thinking on the name of the pool) that would grant certain abilities. I currently intend to grant a number of points in this pool equal to the character's level plus their charisma modifier. Unlike the previous feature, this one provides largely passive bonuses, such as (improved) darkvision or natural armor, a bonus to certain skills, increased base land speed, ect.
The third feature (and the one in question) is what I am trying to figure out. As my current rough sketch of the class stands, levels 2, 6, 10, 14 and 18 are "dead" levels (they grant no additional/new/improved features), and every other level (except level one) only grants one additional or improved feature. So, for one feature, I was considering to grant the class access to some more exotic features (levels 6, 12 and 18), such as a rend/rake attack or something like constrict. And here was where my question stemmed from, as I wanted to see what other people would see as fun/interesting/useful abilities, rather than just have my single perspective.
The last feature still leaves levels 2, 10 and 14 as dead levels, but I am thinking of adding an increasing feature that starts at level 2, some sort of improvement on aspects/the pool at level ten, and either give a one off ability at 14th or just take the blow that it's a dead level.
I'm sorry for not providing context, I realize I should've when I first posted...
EDIT
I would like to alter my previous question slightly after a bit of thought, as I feel certain abilities wouldn't fit as well or be as useful. For example, something that gives more than one attack after a charge (similar to pounce) would be more in line than a rake/rend attack. I am also open to "new" abilities/ideas, by that I mean something that isn't an inherent "monster" ability, such as taking on an amorphous form similar to an ooze for a few rounds a day.

One of the lessons from the shifter is that you need a few bonus feats on a melee type without spells. Consider giving combat feats or something for your dead levels.
If you're doing purely mix'n'match abilities, not themed by monster type, then you need a size change option in there.
As expressed in a thread on advice recently, there are people who really want breath weapons.
Swallow whole should probably be an option some time.
Actually - look at the list of eidolon evolutions. A lot of those will apply.

To answer the initial question: Fast healing. Paizo is very cautious with handing it out, so it's really tough to make up a character who has steady access to an amount of fast healing that makes a difference in combat. It's a game changer and challenges some basic assumptions (depletable HPs, role of the healer), but I'd be willing to sacrifice a primary class feature for it.
When it comes to your class, I agree with previous posters: Sounds like eidolon evolutions. The closest existing thing might be the synthesist archetype for summoner. There are other archetypes with a few evolution points, like primal companion hunter for hunter. None of them looks really fun though.

Never actually considered the eidolon as a place for inspiration. I'll check it out.
One thing I want to state about this pool is that points that are not used to get abilities can be used to heal 1d8 + 1/2 level hit points as a swift action. I'm including this because I don't want to force someone to pick an ability they don't want and feel they are wasting part of a class feature if they don't.
I'll make another post here once I make an outline; if anyone else has something they want to add please do!
