Battle Oracle's cantrip doesn't do anything.

Battle Oracle gets Divine Lance, but doesn't have a deity to key the alignment too. If it operates off of your alignment instead, it should still probably get something for neutral Oracles.

Good point.

Or, alternatively, options for non-cleric divine casters should avoid fixed choices that rely on a patron deity.

They could introduce the idea of focus deities. That would be the deity that you think about in terms of your power even though you don't necessarily work for them (mommy/daddy for the divine sorcerer, representative of the big idea that powers the oracle, and future proofing any divine witch patron). You may not even like the deity and wouldn't step foot in his/her/its temple for all the gold in Golorian. You use the focus deity's alignment for your divine spellcasting. You can change focus deity when you level up. Don't be an idiot and pick a neutral deity. Seriously.

I was honestly surprised to see that they gave the battle oracle "divine lance", given the complaints about divine sorcerers getting unretrainable bloodline spells that required worship of non-neutral deities. I would have expected battle oracles to get "telekinetic projectile". At least this is still the playtest, and there is time for it to change.

Here's a question, would it make Divine Lance imbalanced to allow Neutral to select the other options, Say NG could use both Lawful and Chaotic? Assuming this gives TN all options.

Thematically this fits with TN because they are opposed to all extremes.

I mean, Oracles can still worship deities.

You're right though, it's the same problem Divine Sorcs have. Was kinda surprised the errata didn't address that at all, especially with Oracles being another non-deity driven class that can access divine spells.

I'm gonna make a strong statement:
Divine Lance should never be a bonus spell on anything that isn't specifically related to alignment. It forces interacting with the weirdest parts of the alignment mechanics, encourages testing people with it, behaves weirdly when there's no deity involved, and has usefulness that ranges from incredible (good aligned in a demon-fighting campaign) to non-functional (TN). It's a fine spell to have as an option, but shouldn't be included in a package deal that isn't already doing stuff like that.
