See Page 302 side bar called "Focus Points from Multiple Sources". Your pool total and points do increase, but to max of 3.

There is a whole separate thread arguing both for and against this interpretation. I wasn't going to get into it here, that's why I just put "At least based on how I read the rules." I leave that exercise up to the reader, and hopefully, eventually, a FAQ or Errata.
