Hey guys do we know when the first errata is planned? I saw the Alchemist, bulk for some items, unarmed proficiencies and other things are going to be adjusted or corrected but do we know when? Or at least a quote of an official staff member speaking about it?
We are beginning the AP this weekend and I am considering a MC Monk and one friend wants to go Alchemist so we are really interested by these changes ^^

Do you need them errata’d for your GM to accept them ? Some of the ones you mentioned are from mouths of the developers and transcribed into here (or could be found on twitch)
So hopefully that would be enough ?
I didn’t think the proficiency issue came up for several level so you are probably safe to start on that one...

Yes this is exactly why we could use them, the most proeminent one being the inventory bulk. Our GMlike official material only, regarding this kind of things.
We happily ignored weight for a decade of d20, so now that we have bulk he's tracking our poor low strength character like a nessian hellhound.

A sticky thread or a dedicated updates page even if it is just a basic list from the devs would be amazing and in good faith.
I am the eternal GM of my group and I am a paizo fan and try to follow as many things as possible but it is hard to know them all.
I heard about simple/unarmed proficiency.
Heard about bulk on adventures kit.
Heard about wizard first level feat fix and sorcerer resolve fix.
But I didn't hear about the alchemist bulk fux mentioned by op.
Also mutagenist is still just outright broken/missing features.
In my FoP group the alchemist bulk thing would be nice to know about because there is a 12 str bomber in the group so he is at encumbrance if he makes like half of his daily items.

I thought in the stream that announced the 3 known-blessed updates (simple/unarmed, adventures bulk, wizard extra feat going away) they indicated they were planning some form of official errata/update, but were still iterating on an implementation that they would be able update efficiently. It sounded like they wanted to be faster/more comprehensive with errata when needed, but need more time on their infrastructure to support it.
Until then, I'm taking those three as official and waiting to see if any more get announced at official streams.

This was my take too. It’ll take some time, but they appear to be reworking how FAQs/errata are handled this edition.

Sadly it will probably take forever. Could the community sticky a post with links to confirmations? Or is that a paizo staff only thing? Or do paizo not even want a collected unofficial errata.
As I gather, they hardly want "errata" in the form of text.
Because referring to "a developer said it on a stream" is obviously much clearer, simpler, and more streamlined than "a developer wrote it on a forum post".

There are two components to this:
#1: Actual errata as such (including typo fixes and the like) will wait until the book's second printing, as usual.
#2: However, Paizo often uses FAQs for 'errata-like' quick fixes of major mechanical issues (like Adventurer's Kit's Bulk being worng, Sorcerers getting Master in Will Saves at 17th, hopefully Mutagenist actually doing something, etc.) These often come out much, much, sooner. I'd venture a guess at before the end of the year, possibly much quicker.

The problem is the sources are scattered all around multiple twitch videos and random forum threads. It can be really hard to track them all down and differentiate which are supposed to be rules fixes and which are just offhand comments about personal opinions.
So I can sympathize with why the OP would want some sort of official statement on changes being made.

I really hope they change how they do FAQ and errata, the world moves faster and waiting for a second printing might have been fine a decade ago but less so these days.
Given the scale/breadth of errors in this printing/edition I think sooner would be much better than later, given how little content there is every error looks much bigger.

Waiting for 'real' errata until the next printing isn't the worst thing in the world if they keep their online resource updated.
The biggest problem imo with 1e was that their FAQs (which essentially were errata) came out very slowly and that they refused to offer clarifications or corrections for an entire product line as a matter of course.
Having the section called Frequently Asked Questions when many of the things in there were rules changes was a little bit weird too, I guess.

If the online resources, like Nethys, are updated that is real errata. It's also the kind of agile design and communication I'd expect from a modern game and company.
The whole FAQratta problem is another issue, aside from how horribly slow they were at it.

If Nethys is going to be updated with errata they should have a section at the bottom of that page listing “In the original printing it was worded....but has been corrected to.....on DD/MM//YY (or the American savage date system MM/DD/YY).
That way we don’t need to debate if Nethys has a typo or is a more updated ruling.

This is the most generous use of the word "often" I have ever seen.

That would be ideal, now that there's an up to date database with dedicated "staff" I see no reason to be slow anymore. Well, no good reason.

I mean, sure, technically, but give us a little credit here. We are going to release a couple of important errata in the next few weeks, before the APG playtest to be sure.
Right now we are deep in GMG work and that has to take some priority. We will get out some updates as soon as we can without jeopardizing that books progress.
Hang tight folks, we will get you some answers.

Oh my god, I forgot you guys were lurking around. That was supposed to be a cute developer joke. Please don't think I was trying to be insulting, I know how hard you guys are working, really hard.
Thank you for all your work! The new content isn't perfect, but it is wonderful.

That's understandable, of course, and maybe I'm misremembering ... but my recollection of what was said on the designer q&a stream, on previous streams, and elsewhere is that it sounded much more like we'd get a reasonably comprehensive first-pass errata document coming soon after release, not "a couple important errata" to happen in October
aka, you may have set expectations a little higher than this post attempts to dial 'em down to
and maybe I am misremembering! but I know I'm not the only one who got a certain impression from what's been said ...

I mean, I think I've seen them do this at least once per book, and often more, for most of the run of PF1. How soon such FAQs show up is a somewhat different matter, but doing this several times per book in many cases strikes me as 'often' by most definitions.
