Feedback on a Monk feat

Advice

Was wondering if it's difficult to land this ability:

I'd like to eventually get this feat to complete the chain, but just not sure how often it'll succeed vs enemy Fort save. the fact that it can hit allies too has me concerned, is this a good feat?

It's a feat which increasesthe max dex of your 'armor' by 1. As PF2 feats go that's good already. The debuff is problematic as you've noted, but if your allies are flying or something then it's a one action area trip attempt which doesn't increase your multiple attack penalty. With such a setup it's pretty good.

Haven't seen any numbers for PF2, but in PF1 fortitude was on average the highest save on monsters if I recall correctly. You should try to use it only when you can hit multiple enemies with it, increasing your chance to know one or more of them down.

Hitting your allies is a concern. You probably want to use your monk speed to run behind the enemy frontline to hit as many foes as possible and also to avoid hitting your allies.

But I'd definitely get the feat, even if you end up rarely using the quake. With dex 14, it allows you to have a +6 AC bonus which otherwise is very hard to get unless you're in full plate.

I think you take it on every single Mountain Stance monk just for the AC boost, as avr posits. I figure that "having the stomp in your back pocket for when there aren't allies within 20' and you have a spare action" is just gravy.

This uses monk class DC and is not a ki spell, so it would be strength not wis? If so, if you maximize strength, you're not going to be that far behind spellcasters who are expected to land vs. fort from time to time. A monk's class DC with maxed key stat is going to be 2 behind a caster who maximized their casting stat for levels 7,8,15,16,19,20 and will otherwise be equal, so Mountain Stance will be even at 14, 17, 18 and 2 behind otherwise.
