oh gran I of course tried that. I think you know how that worked.

Call them repeatedly until they answer. If they are mad, tell them "This could have been avoided if you'd done your job properly to begin with."

Hmm ok that one I like.

We have a house that the wife is going to see if she likes it in person we are putting a offer in. I've seen pictures it does look very nice. It's 2 bedrooms we wanted 3 but the price is right. When we have kids we will just have to look for a bigger place.

Or, you know, don't have kids.

Someone has to help offset the idiocracy effect gran. Also it's igther a baby or a zoo.

You could adopt an older child and skip all the annoying baby crap.

We would still need a extra room in the house tho if we adopted and sooner then with a baby.

We really need to work this out Vid. After all, we've already established that I'm your significant other.

The fact that you would have literally have no time to sleep actually makes sense too disturbingly enough.

I don't need sleep. Your love is all I need to keep me going.

*smooch*

.. Did you seriously make that alias? Welp this is the weirdest thing you've ever done. Including the whole owl bear thing.

Thank you.

It can be difficult to keep doing unexpected weirdness. Good to know I haven't lost my touch.

You still got it old chap.

Normally, my doctorate is in making Robobeasts. However, I have some skills in psychology.

So tell me, when did you first lose your trip on reality?

I blame it on the banana peel of life.

I ain't layin' on yer sofa, and this'n here ain't my realtry!!

sold out? What could possibly be going on I ask as I am looking for a room at 2AM (3?) on a Saturday night? What are people doing traveling? I say as I myself am also traveling.

My impression of people tonight.

Well, why didn't you hold a room for them? Huh? You should have known that they were going to come looking for a room, even if they themselves didn't know. How bad are you at your job? Go build an extension to the hotel so they can have a room. Don't you know how important they are? They probably know the owner! And what's all this nonsense about wearing masks? They've never heard anything about needing to wear masks! You're making it up just to oppress them, aren't you? You suck!

I actually regularly tell guest to give me a few weeks and I'll go build another floor on the hotel real quick. no one has yet to wait around for it though.

At my last hotel, I worked with a woman who continually asked me why the owners didn't add another couple of floors. Like I knew them personally, or something. It got old real quick. It was pretty fun to throw back in her face when, after a few weeks of being real busy (college football games, some convention in town, other stuff) we entered our late December slow period and were lucky to sell 20% of the rooms we did have.

"Wow, 13% occupancy? We could really use those extra floors of rooms you want the owners to build, huh?"

I suppose if there's a parking garage nearby, you could go biblical and tell them they can "sleep in the stable".

The other thing I get is people that thing all us hotel employees know people on up to corporate. Like I don't think I've even met our regional manager. Telling me to relay a message to corporate is a gross over estimation of my abilities in my position.

Hand them a pen, tell them to write it down, and that you'll "make sure it gets where it needs to go". By which I mean the garbage, of course.

House already got contracted before we could get a look at it. (like 2 days after it went up for sale) Housing market is crazy.

Yeah. There's a realtor I hear ads for on the radio a lot. He used to advertise "If I can't sell your house in 90 days, I'll buy it!" Then it was 60 days, then 30. Now he offers a pre-listing service so he can "sell your house before it even hits the market!"

I'm just glad I got my house a few years ago, when prices were lower because there were fewer buyers. Around here, at least.

Just popping up to meow. Yeah I know I haven't been around much but I've been busy doing the sub 1h 10k and the 1.5 mile run in <12 min.

Fun part about both is they were done back to back. One on Friday night (55:26 for 10k with pacer help), the other on Sunday.

Ahh! Running!! Get it away from me!!!

Good to see you, though, Mort. Glad to know you're doing well.

Hey Mort thanks for stopping by.

Lol so we had one house that opened up and had a immediate offer today. Like in the same 8 hour period.

That's like me with trying to get a COVID vaccine. They open the appointment scheduler at noon on Monday, while I'm asleep, and when I wake up and check it, everything is full. But I can't stay up to make the appointment, or else I'll struggle to stay awake at work. I even tried setting an alarm at noon today, just to see if I could get an appointment. But I slept through it. The good news is, however, that according to the county health department website, almost 25% of all residents aged 18 or over have received both doses of vaccine. So, we're doing pretty good there.

I'm suppose to get mine on friday!

I guess I know what I'm doing Friday. Driving to TN, putting on a fake beard, and pretending I'm you.

That would be impressive.

I've taken mine, both shots. Nothing but a sore paw on both times though I've heard of people getting fatigued or even getting a fever or diarrhoea and most side effects occur after the 2nd jab. My office comp also blocks paizo so I'm like permanently stuck on phone now.

HOW DARE THEY BLOCK PAIZO!

My brother said he was exhausted the whole weekend. I am sturdy so not too worried I'm basically Bruce Willus from Unbreakable.

I just want the shots. The side effects don't worry me.

You sound like an American teenager.

Yeah side effects can't be worse the actual covid sooo...

I know this doesn't exactly apply to this discussion, but it reminded me of it and I agree with them.

Yeah I enjoyed that show.

I did too. I didn't agree with them on everything, but I did like how they presented their arguments.

Same.

If it helps I ran 30k the day after the first jab and I spent the day of the 2nd jab climbing like a krazy loon and the day after running and doing an obstacle course...again I'm not exactly subject to mortal limitations these days.

Angst? Angst? Wasn't that the bald kid with the blue arrow tattoos who was frozen in ice for 50 years or so and turned out to be the avatar?
