Yeah I wouldn't work daytime shift here. no no way I'd be fighting too many people.

Plus, you would need to wear pants.

Just another reason no to be day shift

Guests. Guests never change. [/Ron Perlman voice]

I failed a will save against salted egg cornflakes and ate some yesterday =( I'm a s*cker for salted egg products.

is that like a omelet with cornflakes in it?

Feeling down today. We lost burrito the other night. He got better for awhile after we gave him his medicine. He had a few weeks of running around and stopped sneezing. He was about 3 years old. the last of our first batch of rats. He stopped eating and we were giving him baby food and water out of a dropper to get him to eat but he finally gave out. We had a lot more time to prepare then the last ones though. So sudden with them. I love the rats but their life span is too short. Adopting them from others who didn't know how to take care of them is rough too. At least they get a nice later part of their life.

I don't know what it is, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to pass on it. I don't like eggs.

Yeah Sounds weird. I think I'll look it up

Googled it. It doesn't actually look to bad. salted egg yolks cooked with butter curry leaves chili peppers and finally mixed with cornflakes. it might be pretty tasty.

I'll let you have it. As I said, I don't like eggs, and while I've never tried curry leaves, the smell of them puts me off.

I'm sorry for your loss, Vidmaster7, I'm sure that Burrito knew how loved he was.

It is tasty. Sorry to hear about burrito. But wait, I'm a cat!

You thinking of making a salted egg and Burrito meal? Bad kitty!

I knew Odie was a giant squirrel!

Wait.

You were talking about Nermal.

Nermal is clearly a chinchilla trying to be a cat.

According to cats everything not a cat is a rodent.

I think the name of the rat from Garfield is squeak.

Got to yell at a guest(s) (2 technically). Haven't done that in awhile. Almost cathartic.

Come in to work with people yelling at our second shift. Calmly go clock in and then walk up and see what's going on. So they apparently booked for the wrong night. hard to say from looking at reservation whose fault it was not really my concern honestly, but we are sold out and as is everyone else in a 200 mile radius.

So one of the males in the group is basically cornering and trying to intimidate our 5'4 meek little second shift person. like she can magically create another room. so I start telling him what I can do and he raises his voice to me tell me he's talking to 2nd shift and I should keep my mouth shut.. nope this is not how I work. then the wife(?) gets involved and says I'll call the police. I raise my voice and say yes that is a great idea I'll call the police and have them remove you.
She looked surprised and starts to mumble something so I tell them you can igther stop yelling or I can have the police come down and escort you out she says You would throw us on the street?
me: absolutely.
So they shut up finally until I can figure out how to fix the problem and I send them off to their room.

Throw 'em out. Even if they do stay somehow, they sound like the type to cause trouble anyways.

I was close to throwing them out but It is entirely possible knowing our staff that one of them messed up their reservation. They had 2 rooms one was checked in for the right date the other was for tomorrow which was the problem. I basically just changed the room from a single king to a 2 queen and put them both in that one. They did shut up when I asked them too so if they damage anything we have their card number. It seems fair enough to me. otherwise they will have to drive like 3 hours to find another hotel.

Rules with a iron but caring fist!

Before I could log into my computer I have already had to tell 15 callers and 3 walk-ins that we are sold out. insane. a caller a minute.

Put a sign on the door and lock it, take the phone off the hook, hide.

How I wish I could do that sometimes.

... hmm... actually locking the door and putting a sign up sounds pretty good. Maybe when my last reservation comes in.

Strangely Kudzu does kind of have a menace to it.

Heck yeah. It’s the plant equivalent of the Weeping Angels from Doctor Who. Take your eyes off it for a second and SLISHHHH you’re covered in vines and being digested.

Anyone who doesn't think a plant can grow menacingly hasn't met the 'zu.

It's good you're big sized. Gives you bonus to intimidate checks.

That being said I ran to my uncles weightlifting meet last Saturday and got to mess around with some Olympic bars and an actual weight lifting platform. I tried to do the Olympic lifts - snatch and clean and jerk.

I can do the clean and jerk with the bar, but snatch is eh... I don't have the shoulder mobility to swing the bar to the back and have to sort of just substitute an overhead press, which I know is bad mechanics.

Again, had I not been practicing overhead press and front squat, I doubt I would even be able to do an approximation of the two lifts.

Some 60kg guy managed to clean and jerk 112 kg. Wtf lol.

Admittedly I do know when to use subtle intimidation... and not so subtle. He definitely didn't try to bully me like he did to 2nd shift. Had that a lot in Walmart too where a male customer would be bullying one of those poor old women working checkout and shut up real quick when I got involved.

Well now how is she suppose to take that name?

Swole Kitty's name doth not contain an underscore!
