When I bought the Pathfinder second edition book at my local game store, is it possible to get a pdf copy of the same book?

Pathfinder Second Edition is not for sale yet in stores or online.

You can pre-order it though.

But the PDF will have to be bought separately. Paizo doesn't give away PDFs for their books for free.

The second edition rulebook is also part of one of the subscriptions, and Paizo does include the PDF for free with each subscription product you receive.

Apparently Lisa Stevens confirmed this during the Banquet at PaizoCon, but there's nothing officially posted on these boards yet.

Since the second edition doesn’t officially release until August 1st, your FLGS must have access to a time machine. You should buy all their copies and sell them for a profit :-D
