What are those two tusk's protruding from a trox's "stomach" area? They are tusks, aren't they?

What purpose do they serve?

I'm not sure what they're supposed to do, but they look like part of a jaw. Think of a Scorpion's mouth, with the two small pincers (the Trox's smaller arms) and then the tusks look like fangs. All looks like the Trox's chest area should have a large mouth of some sort.

I imagine that they assist in the grappling process, hooking on to the victim. Given that the vestigial arms are stated as being too weak to do anything beyond holding negligible bulk items, I figure the main assist for their Grappler trait actually comes from the abdominal protrusions.

Not everyone keeps their genitals in the same place, Captain.

holding the prey in place to be devoured alive.

What do YOURS do?

Perhaps they're the trox equivalent of a bellybutton, since unborn trox hold on to their mums more aggressively than humanoids do.

Liberty's Edge

To me it looks like a naturally evolved in weapon/coat/hat rack.

Either that, or it's there to help them fasten their belts snugly so they don't keep losing their trousers.
