This question comes from a detail that came up regarding my cavalier/hunter. In order to meet certain pre-reqs I'm taking Racial Heritage (Nagaji).
Is there any way to get a bite attack as a Nagaji?
I have some open feats and it would be nice if I could get some additional use out of the feat. At the moment I'm planning on eventually grabbing a Ring of Rat Fangs so I can qualify for the feat Snapping Flank
I figure by the time I'm in position to get that feat the ring should be easy enough to get. But, IMO it would be better not to rely on a magic item for the feat since if the ring stopped working not only would I lose the feat but I assume my animal companions would as well.

There is the Feral Mutagen Alchemist Discovery. With that, an Alchemist's Mutagen gives you both a Bite and 2 Claws.
It's a cool ability, but I don't know that cavaliers or hunters even have an archetype that gives mutagens. I could dip into alchemist but if I'm not leveling as one the duration is going to be extremely limited
You can get a Bite Attack as a Barbarian Rage Power.
Same as with the mutagen.
I recall a Wondrous Item, Animal Mask, I think. It give you a Bite Attack or a Gore Attack: your choice.
Yep, I was looking at this one. But it's a limited duration, the ring of fangs has no such limitation so if I'm going to do a magic item I might as well just stick with the ring.
'adopted' social trait into half orc open the half orc racial trait 'tusked' for bite attack. i used this for an undine with acid breath for noxius bite feat at level 1
That's amazing. I completely forgot about the tusked trait. Unless I find something better this is probably the route I'll go. Given the heritage feat the character has I could always flavor it that he has fangs instead of tusks and call it a day.
Some sorcerer bloodlines give natural attacks for a limited number of rounds per day. My PFS nagaji sorcerer has the serpentine bloodline, which gives a poisonous bite that way--though Mahesh avoids melee combat too much to have ever used his (he's now 6th level).
Serpentine bloodline is nice. I did this with my unbreakable fighter (via eldritch heritage) in order to give her something that enemies wouldn't ignore. The primary stat in the build was con meaning the save DC was quite high. That being said, it's extremely limited I remember having to conserve the power with my fighter and I would like to be able to use snapping flank more then once or twice per fight.
Fleshcraft : Poison Fangs
This is tempting, I'm not sure how easily I'd be able to get them given the nature of the campaign. I wouldn't want to take the crafting feat myself for just one item.
Ring : Ophidian Coil
This seems to be a straight upgrade from the ring I was considering, it's more expensive but it also does more. Very nice.
Wondrous Items : Animal Mask, Cloak of Fangs,
unlike the other magic items these are limited to uses per day. I would consider them if there weren't better magic items that don't have this limitation.
Pelt of the Beast, Greater Hat of Disguise (recomended option - extremely versatile!)
Both are worth considering. They give me what I'm looking for and more. Instead of being limited to giving up a ring slot, I could give up a hat or shoulder slot instead. Meaning I could just go for whichever one has the least negative impact on the character.
